  1. Let's bust out the bats and pound the Cards today! Let's be real careful with Pujols - I don't think he will be quiet the whole series and no need to challenge him too much with Ankiel and Ludwick out
  2. Sounds like you have quite the mix going on at your house! Isn't it hilarious how small dogs really have no idea that they are small? If you ever get the chance you should post a pic of all 3 of them. I am a fellow dog lover - I have a 4 yr old Great Pyrenees (Gorman) and a 2 yr old Bernese Mountain Dog (Harvey). They make quite the pair
  3. Do you honestly believe that a guy who is sworn to uphold the law is going to go around knocking down children intentionally? What's next? Yes, because there has never been a corrupt or unethical cop in this country
  4. Beautiful win fellas! Great outing from Soup! He has been very solid lately
  5. I agree that it was a bunting situation and disappointing that he didn't get it down, but it happens and I don't think because we failed there makes us less of a team.
  6. That was easily one of Rickie's worst AB's of the season. Ouch
  7. Sure would have been nice if JK coulda slapped one through that hole there...and now he K's on a pitch in the dirt. Awesome. C'mon Craiger!
  8. Just got into the IGT and sorry if this has been mentioned already, but for anyone with DirecTv outside of the Milwaukee area the game is on Ch. 680
  9. That is a beautiful dog Nottso! Hopefully he is a little more approachable than his namesake
  10. From Meriam-Webster's online dictionary: Humane- 1 : marked by compassion, sympathy, or consideration for humans or animals 2 : characterized by or tending to broad humanistic culture : humanistic I guess now Charlie Brown is a real human being. I don't think HY acted in a compassionate, considerate, or sympathetic manner towards Coughlan which is why I used the term. And your analogy of giving your house away to a millionaire leaves you feeling good about doing so in your scenario. I have a very, very hard time believing that HY feels truly good about how he handled the situation with Coughlan. And if he does...well, then he has bigger problems. Plus giving your house away to a millionaire is the opposite to HY's approach to giving up milestone HR's
  11. Both line-ups per TH's blog: Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks SS J.J. Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Mike Cameron RF Corey Hart 3B Bill Hall C Jason Kendall RHP Jeff Suppan Cardinals 2B Skip Schumaker RF Shane Robinson 1B Albert Pujols LF Chris Duncan C Yadier Molina CF Colby Rasmus SS Tyler Greene 3B Joe Thurston RHP Adam Wainwright
  12. Couple things- A. As far as the picture with Coughlan goes, to me it just looks like it happened to be snapped when Coughlan was in the middle of speaking. B. Big whoopity-do that HY gave a kid or 2 a couple of the umpteen balls he had. When you have that many balls it obviously makes it a little bit easier to give them away. If you go trick-or-treating and you get 25 Snickers and your friend didn't get any and wants one, wouldn't it be a little easier to give them 1 or 2 than if you had only gotten 1 or 2? Maybe he was trying to make himself feel a little less guilty about some of the other kids or people he has pushed out of the way to get one of his hoard of balls C. To me it is pretty apparent that there are people on here that when put it a certain position they are inclined to do the decent, conscientious, and humane thing and on the flip-side there are others that are inclined to try to squeeze as much as humanly possible out of any opportunistic situation they may encounter, regardless of ethics. I think we all know which category HY falls into
  13. Obviously Shane McGowan cannot be beat, so I am just going to throw out some names of possible runner-ups: Joey Ramone, Dee Snider, Perry Farrell, Steven Tyler, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Flea, Ric Ocasek, and Tom Petty
  14. Here is the Brewer's line-up for tonight per TH's blog" 2B Rickie Weeks 3B Craig Counsell LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Mike Cameron SS J.J. Hardy RF Corey Hart C Jason Kendall RHP Yovani Gallardo
  15. Link to article in the JS today about Morels: http://www.jsonline.com/news/wisconsin/45059217.html
  16. That is cool that you emailed the D List and that Trenni already let HR know about it. He really doesn't seem to have a problem with it...as he says, "That's their thing!" Gotta love Harold! I'm not a huge fan of Amsinger nor do I despise him, but I do like the job he does on Quick Pitch, which I think is an ingenious idea
  17. I don't think just being a member of this site precludes you from any discussion or criticism of you actions - especially something like this that is getting a lot of media attention and where he is claiming to be this great Brewer fan, which to me affects all of us. I am not saying it is ok to attack him on a personal level, but I also don't think his actions are something I would consider admirable or praise worthy. Personally, as a true Brewer fan, I would prefer if he would just call himself a souvenir fan because what he did to Jenkins, a guy that meant a ton to the recent history of this franchise, is not something I would consider a "true" Brewer fan to do. And now this... Also, maybe I have missed some posts here and there, but for the most part the only participation I have ever seen from HY on bfnet is to comment on or dispute/confirm accounts of his own involvement in catching balls, typically ones seen on TV.
  18. Here's a novel thought - when they come to ask for the ball back just give it up while asking nothing in return. My guess is that more often than not a gesture like that will result in them giving you something as good or better than what that person was hoping for. Wow! What a crazy idea!
  19. Well put TheCrew07. I don't know how much more proof is needed than the player himself admitting he loses composure or confidence in himself from time to time. Gallardo is the anti-Parra as far as that goes at this point
