  1. That was my line of thinking joepepsi. Hardy has seemed like something has been sort of bothering him all season. His defense has been subpar for him and every time I see a shot of him in the dugout he looks really uncomfortable and is taking a lot of deep breaths. It almost looks like he could be having anxiety or panic attacks or something. I know this is a stretch, but to me he has been wearing a look of concern on his face most of the season...
  2. p.s. the "other guy" I think you are referring to is Joe Magrane
  3. J Ro doing Rickey was hilarious. I don't like Mitch because he claims Braun can only hit off speed pitches and seems to think the Brewers untuckem is classless. Does he even remember his reactions to big strikeouts?? "For me, last time I checked, you Mitch are clueless and Braun can hit pretty much any pitch he wants."
  4. Trevor makes it all look soooo easy and I think I like it
  5. That stinks. I'm not trying to rub it in, but I love MLB Network. Every night they are updating you on the games being played and if there is a key point in a game, they take you there live. Almost as good as having the Extra Innings package. Totally agree jhart. I was seriously contemplating ordering MLB E.I. until the games started and I got a look at what the MLBN is all about. The live look-ins are great! I absolutely LOVE it (minus Mitch Williams. He = buffoon)
  6. Ok, you have never seen him cave and look like he was about to cry after a couple hard hits? If you haven't we must be watching separate teams. It has been alluded to by people in the organization that part of his problem is mental
  7. Here are tonight's line-ups per TH's blog- Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks 3B Craig Counsell LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Mike Cameron SS J.J. Hardy RF Corey Hart C Jason Kendall RHP Braden Looper Marlins 3B Emilio Bonafacio LF Chris Coughlan SS Hanley Ramirez 1B Jorge Cantu C John Baker 2B Dan Uggla RF Jeremy Hermida CF Alfredo Amezaga RHP Ricky Nolasco One down, two to go! Let's limit out on some more fish!
  8. Never want to root for injuries or anything of that nature, but we need to take advantage of breaks like this and win the series against a Cards team missing 2 of their best hitters
  9. Very encouraged with Manny's ability to bounce back after a rough first 2 innings and somewhat salvage his pitch count to get through 6 and finish very, very strong. Good sign. He obviously has the stuff, but by far my biggest concern was/is his mental make-up and I think last night was a big step in the right direction. I know Prince's second HR was a blast, but I'm not sure you can hit a ball any harder than Rick hit his HR. That thing had a vapor trail!

Let's GO FISHIN' CREW!!
  14. Are they actually selling those at MP Invader?? If so I gotta get me one!
  15. How about a bunt for a hit here? EDIT: at least he tried it
  16. I don't want to make it seem like I am hating on JJ - I like him. I'm just not a huge fan of his style of play. He seems a little soft out there and more of a finesse player if there is such a thing in MLB. And he is sloooooww
  17. It usually is when the first baseman has to come off the bag to go up and get a throw because then he has to go from there all the way down to the ground to try and tag the runner
  18. Seriously, I know I am ragging on Hardy a lot today, but how does he still manage to be out with everything that happened on that play. It was apparent that Hoff was going to jump way up so you might want to think about sliding there JJ
  19. Maybe didn't want to use DiF there for one out in case the pitchers spot manages to come up here in the 6th. Most likely wants to have him for 2 innings if need be
  20. All in all not that bad of a start from Soup. Not a great line-up matchup for him with the likes of Soriano, Hoffpauir, Bradley, and Fontenot. We need to get more than 2 runs off Marshall and co. anyhow
  21. Marmol has given up 24 baserunners in 14 IP fyi. With an opponent batting avg of .381
  22. Brenly would just put a cheeseball into play and our hitters would chase every pitch
  23. There was absolutely no reason for JJ to have a throw like that. He was standing on top of 2nd and Rick hit him in the chest with the flip. Not saying he would have gotten Milton, just saying...
  24. And as I say that the strike zone shrinks to postage stamp size with Fukudome batting
