  1. Now I'm not defending Hall as a whole here, but he definitely had some legit beefs yesterday. That ball Rowand hit was clearly foul and the called 3rd strike he got rung up on was not a strike at any other point in the ball game yesterday. It was a good 3-4 inches off the outside corner and hadn't been a strike previous to that AB. But Billy does play up the antics a bit much sometimes. Just saying that he had reason to gripe yesterday
  2. zachlaka-if you someone is in the predicament you are and had to bring a cubs fan, I think you are doing the best on only way possible: make him sit by all alone and fend for himself. Nice work!
  3. No problemo. Hope they have one left for you
  4. There were general left earlier today...I'm assuming you checked and they are sold out?
  5. That's probably longer than most of the responses you will get on here DJ. I will say this. I'm an optimist and I am not going to put too much stock in todays start given the conditions, the are we, aren't we gonna play, and the fact that many top of the rotation pitchers have been knocked around these first couple days of the season. I'm not going to give up hope on Soup just yet, but today did not make me feel any better about him. The guy just really, really needs to concentrate and bear down in big spots during the game and make the pitch he needs to make as opposed to serving up meatballs at the most inopportune times. Please Jeff, reward my unfounded faith in you!
  6. were there any more left where you guys got them?
  7. Not sure how I forgot about that. It was my favorite part of the whole game. He looked like a changed man out there. A beautiful sight to behold
  8. Yeah like mothership said - when in doubt or dilemma, lie! Haha!
  9. I liked the overall approach by the hitters. Did not like the overall approach to getting opposing hitters out. Brewers hitters walks=good. Brewers pitchers walks=bad
  10. You are 100% in the right in my book. But thats just me - I do not do well around sports fans that are not of like mind
  11. The cult of the save is your answer here. He led the league by a fair margin, if I remember. Gotchya. I remember him being good the few times I saw him. Throws very hard
  12. Is there no HD feed for the Scrub-Stros game??
  13. Didn't he make the All Star game last year or was that 2 years ago?
  14. Man, this is going to hurt. Been awhile since I've had to bear the feeling of a loss on opening day. Cripes!
  15. I know its only game 1, but same ol' Corey. I am having severe flashbacks to last sept
  16. Well, how about a big opening day comeback here? Who is the SF closer? I can't remember
  17. Pedro - I would really appreciate the Gorman Thomas bobble. My dog is named after him. Thank you kindly for the opportunity
  18. It worked on Cam so I figured I would try it out on Hall. Too much to ask for I guess
