  1. I'll second that "thank goodness" on the Bucks woogie! I didn't know that this is their last game and it sort of made it more bearable for me to have to listen on the radio knowing it is the last time I will be forced to do so. LET'S GO CREW!!
  2. Figured we could use some good news for once: Per Adam McCalvy's Blog (Brewer Beat) Hoffman throws 40 pitches I'm 400 feet away, up in the press box, but if the high-five between Brewers closer Trevor Hoffman and bullpen catcher Marcus Hanel was any indication, Hoffman's first mound session in more than a month went well. I counted an even 40 pitches over 13 minutes, and Hoffman threw his full assortment. Assuming that went well, he'll be off Thursday and could either throw another bullpen or perhaps a live batting practice session on Friday in New York. At some point if he continues making progress, Hoffman will be sent out on a MInor League rehabilitation assignment. The Brewers would love to have him back. Pitching in a non-save situation Tuesday night, fill-in closer Carlos Villanueva surrendered three runs on four hits. To be fair, two of the hits took tough hops near third base, including one that jumped up and hit Bill Hall in the left collarbone. Still, Villanueva allowed a 3-1 Reds lead to grow to 6-1, and manager Ken Macha hedged just a bit when he was asked whether Villanueva's role was up in the air. "We'll have to see how he's feeling [Wednesday]," Macha said. "Certainly, [Todd] Coffey and [seth] McClung and [Mark] DiFelice have king of pitched a little better than he has right now. We'll see how he's feeling."
  3. brewtown - not sure exactly what model you had taken from you, but right now on Kohl's website they have the Q100 model for 144.49 and like I said earlier, there are always coupon codes for Kohls on the internet
  4. I really don't think this is that bad of a staff to "inherit". They are definitely off to a poor start. I think if anyone knew why they couldn't throw strikes right now they would have figured it out. Coffey, DiFelice, and Bush don't seem to be having any problems.
  5. On the bright side, I just realized that tomorrow night is another WMLW game, which almost guarantees they will win. Maybe not being able to see the game isn't the worst thing right now. Brewers v.2009 are quickly becoming detrimental to my health
  6. Maybe had these games been in HD we would be winning
  7. Just because Bill Castro became the pitching coach it didn't make the pitchers suddenly forget how to throw strikes. He had been the bullpen coach for many years and the relievers never seemed to have problems like this
  8. That took a horrible hop on a ball he was already diving for. Not much you can do with that - luckily Tim O'Driscoll realized that
  9. Am i the only one that cannot understand a word Corey Hart says? He sounds like Brad Pitt in Snatch.
  10. Is it bad that I hope we have already tied that game by the time Braun gets up because I know he won't do anything?
  11. Nice! I got the Season 5 premier rollin on the DVR while I watch the game
  12. It is excruciating to watch Braun right now. If he is hurt, I wish he would just say so
  13. I don't care what anyone says - Hall has been magnificent at 3rd so far this year. You can definitely tell the dropped weight is helping him in the field. Sweet turn by Counsell too
  14. Can anything go right for this team right now? Anyone with gameday up have the pitch counts for Manny and Arroyo?
  15. This is getting really sickening! We have let so many top of the rotation starters off the hook so many times already this year
  16. Wow is that frustrating - Arroyo drops down on a LH and serves up a fat pitch and Prince tries to hit it to Illinois and pops it up. How many times can they possibly leave the sacks full??
  17. Man, I love this business of Hart lookin at balls and hammerin strikes! I can't believe Phillips got to that ball! That's the hardest Braun has hit the ball in a few games
