  1. Jon Miller is one of my favorites also. His voice is just sooo soothing. Unfortunately most the time he is paired with that annoying chatter box they call Joe Morgan

  3. Man thats a great sign to see Braun homer in the last ST game before the season opener. Lets hope hes all healed up!
  4. Thats what I was looking for too, but I haven't had any luck. I guess Gameday will have to do. I can't express how disappointing it is to be expecting to watch it on MLBN and then get stuck with the ol' Gamdeday. No offense to Gameday...
  5. As far as I know this game is not on MLB E.I. Doesn't even show up on the guide. All the channels say upcoming for the respective teams regular season opener. Unless I'm missing something
  6. Do you live in Milwaujee? I thought maybe somehow I was getting the Angels game because I live in EC
  7. So much for it being on the MLBN for me. Checked earlier today and there it was on the guide. Now it says Padres at Angels. This takes the cake. No blackout this time. Apparently they just decided to show a different game after advertising the Brewer game earlier. I'm so sick of the crap!
  8. Last night I was watching MLB Tonight and Trenni referred to Matt Holiday as Matt "Halladay" several times. Love Trenni, but c'mon!
  9. I don't care if Spring Training numbers don't really matter - I, for one, don't buy that Riske is going to fail to get hardly anyone out this spring and then all of a sudden start mowing people down come tuesday. And its not like has given up a lot of bloops and flares - they've mostly been doubles and dongs
  10. To me at least he looks a bit faster and better defensively. And he as least appears to have a clue at the plate
  11. That catch by Gabe last year at Dodger Stadium has to be one of the best in Brewers history considering how good the catch itself was combined with the fact the game was on the line
  12. The good old Joynt! Haven't been there for happy hour in awhile now, but during my college days I used to enjoy many 35 cent Berghoff Dark tappers. Too many!!!
  13. I usually end up with extras - I will let you guys know
  14. Love the Fat Tire. Have you ever had their Sunshine Wheat? I personally think that is even better
  15. Personally one of my favorite beers (top 3 at least) is Berghoff Red Bock Winter Ale. It's a limited edition seasonal they do and I absolutely love it. Which is surprising because it has a fairly strong coffee tone to it and I hate coffee. (sorry if tone is the wrong word - I am far from a beer expert). I discovered it while visiting some friends in Monroe - we went to Turner Hall for fish and I ordered a tap of Berghoff Dark and they were out of it and the bartender recommended this. I'm sure glad he did! Sort of reminds me of Leinie's Octoberfest. My apologies if this beer has already been mentioned on this thread, but I wasn't about to read through some of the 40 pages I haven't read.
  16. Mike Cameron is much more productive offensively that many people on here seem to give him credit for. And his defense...aww fughedaboutit! But I am glad Duffy is on the team - I only hope he can be this year's LH version of Kap. Good defensively with some speed and some clutch hitting. Hopefully my fiance won't drool quite as much over Duff as she did Kap - it was a bit embarrassing when we had company!
  17. No parameters here - anything and everything to do with the opener. Just thought it would be kind of an interesting discussion Love the links btw Rev. SF
  18. Unless you manage to somehow time it perfectly, I'm guessing a 3PM home opener vs the Cubs on Good Friday is going to result in just about everyone getting stuck in traffic for some amount of time. I'd say walking or riding a bike would be the only ways to avoid traffic waits all together
  19. So the minutes seem to be agonizingly crawling by until the Brewers open up the season on tuesday, so I thought to help pass the time I would see what my fellow bfnetters have for opening day rituals (whether it be season or home opener). Could be anything from lucky apparel to pre/post game hangouts, etc,etc... Mine are pretty basic - try to get there as early as possible, always grill up some italians washed down with Miller products, and can't go into the game without seeds, peanuts and Twizzlers. Nothing too exotic but I do live 3.5 hrs away so that puts a bit of a damper on things. Your turn...
  20. Good point. I wondered what his playing time situation was there. I figured they were planning on at least giving him a good amount of AB's seeing he leads the team in ST
