  1. Maybe Farris will be back with Nashville by then??
  2. Yea, maybe you are right CWH. I hope so.
  3. Hahaha, why 96? That post made me laugh BK.
  4. I bet we could get a similar return to the Gabe Gross deal (Josh Butler). Basically, some other teams' Evan Fredrickson or slightly better.
  5. Cool news! Please send Carlos Gomez to AAA.
  6. Man, our pitchers are fine. Everybody has problems like this. Everybody. TB even was cursed for so very long. If you look close, there are plenty of pitchers to be very excited about in our system.
  7. Yes to Christian Freidrich, though I haven't heard much on him this year. The Rays are the obvious match. A deal centered around Hellickson, Moore, Colome, or Davis would be a fine start.
  8. I actually think Boras made some good points. Prince has been very durable for a fat guy. That is undeniable. Boras does get his elite clients the big money too. Now, the defense thing is another issue, especially since 1B D is incredibly difficult to evaluate. His errors are trending down though. Is this not a good thing? I also hate all the unamed high ranking MLB officials that make derogatory comments about players. Boras thinks that these comments build up Price's value (and they might), but dropping that $200M figure did not. If not for that crazy assertion, I think teams would be lining up to trade for him. I am still behind taking the picks if we can't get a Hellickson, Minor, Moore+ or Baumgarner, etc. The Brewers have to set a precedent that we can compete next year and that we won't get pushed around in these trade talks. With Rogers and Rivas on the cusp, I feel like we already have a couple Mike Minors in the system. Sign some stopgap starters for next year, let those AA guys get their feet wet. Then in 2012, Peralta, Fiers, Scarpetta, and maybe Odorizzi and Hecky will be close. I know Im inthe minority here, but I don't think we should give up on our current 5-10 year plan. Extra picks in 2012 can set us up nice for 2014 and beyond. If we can get 'our guy' in a trade, fine, but the nice thing about th draft is every guy you select is 'your guy'. We just cannot let other teams dictate the Prince Fielder trade.
  9. Those pictures of Hiram Burgos look really cool. Wow.
  10. Well Brett, I'm not really sure what position you would play. There isn't anything open, yet.
  11. Holle supposedly upped his velocity into the low 90's late this past season with a slight mechanical adjustment.
  12. You seriously wouldn't trade Kameron Loe?
  13. Komatsu has struck out 34 times this year in ~330 PA. The best part is that he has walked 40 times. Oh and he is just raking against RHP's while having a usable line against LHP's.
  14. Yea X, I wasn't really complaining. Just throwing a little nugget out there.
  15. There are some downright nasty sb%'s in the rookie leagues too. I think Bivens is 2/7.
  16. I just meant the people who made a huge deal out of his demotion.
  17. That was an impressive Dodger lineup that Rivas mowed down last night. Nice. The Kentrail Davis haters sure have been mute for awhile now. No matter how you slice it, he is a very nice prospect. Lawrie is having a Braun-ian minor league season a full 2-3 years before Braun was Braun-ian. Last I checked, he was leading the SL in total bases. Anyone else notice how much his base running has improved in AA this year? He is tied with Lo Cain for the team lead now with 20 I think. There are some fantastic things happening our system now.
  18. Rivas faced a very tough lineup tonight too. I love what is happening right now in the minors. Stay healthy boys, this is very fun!
  19. I gotta say, I believe him when he says he has been working his butt off on D. I hope that's not just lip service. I love the futures game. Scouts galore, and now with Twitter, there should be an endless supply of tidbits coming from that game.
  20. Hey, I think Eric Farris is starting for Arizona tonight! Welcome back kid. Hecky with a solid start and that WI offense is just gonna be sick in the second half.
  21. http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=5327381 Chad Jones got in a car wreck. Edit: Jeez, this does not sound good. Pulling for you to make a comeback young man!
