  1. I think Jackelope might be new to following prospects.
  2. Greg Holle is really impressing me. Hopefully that spike in velocity Greg claimed in a recent interview is for real. How could it not be? The dude is like 6'8". Max Walla and Yadiel Rivera had productive nights at the plate last night. Walla is having more, not a ton, but more success this year. I gotta dig up his post-draft interview. He had me so excited. I'm a patient guy, so I'm willing to give Max about a half decade to figure things out. Rivera is definitly a project, that is for sure. Very projectable though. Interesting reports on Gennett and Garfield recently by bf.net posters. With Gennett, it's very hard to ignore the success. Regarding Cam, I'm hoping he was provoked by the fans or something. Dennis has had a very nice last few weeks it seems. Dykstra has not faded one bit this year. He has to be a solid top-20 in the next P50. We just need to ignore last year. More glowing reports from Richardson on defense is fantastic. The hitting will improve, but there is a ton of value in a CF with epic range and a howitzer arm. Morris seems like a high ceiling AND high floor draft pick. How he slipped to round 4 is kind of amazing to me. Khris Davis is Huntsville 2011 worthy. Komatsu is king in BC. He is my prediction for Brewers' MiLB POY. I can't decide who's season was/is better. Logan Schafer's 2009 or Erik Komatsu's 2010. Kudos. Not impressed with RJ Seidel at all. How did he get hurt a few years ago? I have heard varying, and disturbing variations. Thanks again MH!
  3. Send him home? No. Ya gotta have a little patience.
  4. Not a subscriber, anything interesting? Thanks in advance.
  5. We have good MiLB pitching. More good ones tonight.
  6. Early returns on Matt Miller are very impressive. Wow. Will Komatsu make it 3 of the last 4 MiLB POY winners from Brevard County? So much for being a pitchers haven. I keep forgetting how dang hot it is around the country right now (I'm in MN). Some of these games have had to been scorchers. I could see the heat having a slight effect on Lawrie's recent performance (which really hasn't been that bad), but I think that might be grasping a little.
  7. Well, MH, I can't say I miss anyone you mentioned besides Nelson Cruz. He was flukeish though. Maybe JDLR, but just for that good season he had. Balfour is pretty nasty too.
  8. Melvin and Ash have been stressing patience when it comes to developing pithing prospects. Especially power arms with command problems. Everyone points to Atlanta and SF, who seem to really push their prospects quickly, but I would rather take the Red Sox and Tampa approach. Those orgs. are very patient, usually, with prospects, especially SP's.
  9. Patience young warrior. Seriously, Melvin and Gord are onto something there.
  10. Reminds me of a lefty Will Inman. IMO, guys like Fiers and Burgos are better prospects. I chose those two because, like Josh, they are on the older side.
  11. It is pretty depressing that the Summer Link Report session is almost over. But alas, pretty soon it will prospect/organizational rankings season. Always fun.
  12. Despite the career-high 12 strikeouts, Frederickson said he was actually trying less than usual to whiff batters. "I was just trying to make good pitches and get ahead in the count, not necessarily to strike everyone out," he said. Just throw strikes bro. “Frederickson, he’s a real good pitcher,” DeShields said. “He’s got a good cutter, he just didn’t let up on us tonight. I just told the guys we’ve got to get into the bullpen.” Could be a coach covering for his players, but thanks Delino.
  13. This is by far the best EF has ever been. I cannot remember more then 2-3 outings that you could even feel good about. I really hope the brewer brass had that game on video. They need to pinpoint what exactly went right tonight.
  14. Holy crap, has anyone seen what Evan Freakin' Fredrickson did tonight for Helana? I almost don't believe my eyes.
  15. Re: Burgos Not me MH! I was super bummed when the first go around in Low-A didn't go well. Iirc, his draft scouting report said he topped out around 90, maybe a tick more, but he K's a ton of guys. Reports state he is a tenacious pitcher who goes after guys with an intense demeanor, so maybe he is Bucci-esque inthat respect. He dominated winter ball, so seeing better results this time with the T-Rats is very encouraging.
  16. A much better strike:pitch ratio for Rogers too. Over 66%. I am starting to really get excited for Hunter Morris too.
  17. Yea, I know. I was just saying.
  18. Haha, that is interesting. So what, Manny Machado can't find a phone anywhere in the D.R.? Whatever. Anyways, it would be monumentally stupid for either guy to pass up the money that is likely on the table. Injury, hard slotting, etc. You just can't risk losing out on $5-10M.
  19. I don't think Scarpetta has that much heat. I thought he was more 90-92 touching 94. Jeffress has hit 99-100 a few times this year. Rivas has also touched mid-90's, but he does work much closer to 90. Chris Cody has hit 82 a few times this year...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  20. For all we know, Covey is signed. I just can't fathom a $500k or so gap won't be worked out.
  21. I am excited to see them.
  22. Hey, Rogers is still in AA. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
