  1. Clearly the right move is subbing for Shouse here, but I want to say that Riske has struggled this season when inheriting runners. Maybe I'm wrong. I probably would prefer Gagne and then Riske gets a chance to pitch his own inning.
  2. Isn't the advantage of having 2 lefties being able to sub the first one when confronted with a righty?
  3. The majority of this season Bill Hall has hit like a minor leaguer. He can't lay off half balls in the dirt and even come close to making contact in a situation where necessary. Sad descension from where he was 2-3 seasons ago.
  4. Yes...their announcer was ripping Ned for "crying like a 5 year old" after the game yesterday. He went on to say that is a hit 100% of the time and the Brewers should be worrying about not blowing their playoff shot like they did last year.I supposed they're the experts on what to do to prevent from collapsing down the stretch.
  5. Hopefully Sheets doesn't try to challenge Delgado, Beltran, or Wright with the same pitch as he did Schneider.
  6. I think we should strongly consider, at the very least, moving Prince down to 6th or 7th against lefties. About .215/.700 are not the #'s of a clean up hitter.
  7. Perfect throw by Kendall and Reyes is toast!
  8. If Cameron doesn't lackadaisically play that baseball, Reyes is standing on first. Wake up Mike!
  9. Go Cubs! (excuse me for a second) *raaaaaalph*
  10. Please plan to watch less games in the future
  11. Confirmation bias on the official scorer's part. LaRoche has 223 career AB's. The Brewers could go as far as acquiring a few clips where he was thrown out on a ball to the pitcher, and compare how far up the line LaRoche was at the time. But I hope nobody making decisions that impacts wins/losses spends any time whatsoever on it.
  12. Shoot. Always expect Yost to lean toward racking up the pitcher abuse points, you won't get disappointed that way.
  13. No. I'm arguing that it was his own fault so I hardly feel like he "deserves" it. I'll take a great 7-inning, no run, one hit outing, though. What potential playoff matchup will have the most lefties in their probable 4-man rotation? Edit: As noted by Casey above, please watch what you're quoting. Removed unnecessary part of quote. - Toby
  14. Never, CC allowed the runner to reach himself.
  15. I'm sick of the way the Pirate outfielders nonchalantly go back on baseballs. Gives the opposing fans false hopes.
  16. Now let's score some runs for the man, which of course he'll contribute to as well as a jack of all trades.
  17. As opposed to other players' normal reactions when they pop it up?Yes, it's different. It's almost as if he expects it at this point and he's a beaten man. Most other players either: a. don't care because they know it's an anomaly, or b. throw the bat and are hopping mad showing that they expect better from themselves.I guess I'll defer to you, then, as I'm not an expert on determining the status of a person's psyche by viewing them through my television set.I'm in the criminal justice field and part of my job is reading people by their body language, facial expressions, etc. I have a background in psychology as well. It's how he slumps his shoulders, shakes his head, looks depressed instead of angry, things like that which make it apparent.

  19. I understand keeping Kapler happy, and I would definitely understand extending the same courtesy to Rivera, but why exactly do we care about Counsell? Especially at the expense of JJ who's ripping the ball right now. Craig is one of the worst hitters in the majors right now. I'm quite positive he realizes he's sucked. Immediately subsequent to every weak pop-up he drops his head in resigned disgust. I would prefer to spread out playing scrubs at the very least if we insist on keeping them happy.
  20. I suppose like Sloth But closer to Roy Dennis I've always believed http://i189.photobucket.c...giahill88/RockyDennis.jpg
  21. Braun isn't jewishgoes by egg instead of sperm mother is gentile
  22. Buck nickname taken Other Milwaukee team riled Brewers do bidding
  23. So you are mad that Weeks K'd on nearly the exact same pitch that Braun did later on. Does this means Braun sucks now? That was a good pitch by the pitcher all Weeks and Braun could have done with those pitches were foul them off. If they looked at them the outcome would have been the same it was a strike. That's preposterous. Obviously that was the culmination of 4 years of underachieving overall and sucking even worse in the clutch by Weeks. Braun is an MVP candidate and has come up big in clutch many times now. Even the best fail slightly more than they succeed in baseball.
  24. 1 out of the last 6 at home is something to brag about on the Cardinals' part.
