  1. Did Weeks go into this funk once Macha started CC to "keep him sharp" or was it before this? This team is so damn frustrating to watch.
  2. How many changeups did he throw tonight? I saw 1 for sure, but wasn't paying keen attention. The one he threw wasn't even close. Maybe he's not throwing it because he can't locate it? Either way, this is devastating if we don't have a reliable closer.
  3. I hate how nonchalant Braun is sometimes when the ball goes into that corner. Like he's never played the corner before...
  4. I know everyone seems to have said this, but I can't explain how much I hate Jeff Suppan. (Macha and Melvin get some hate as well for being stupid)
  5. Didn't get to see Braun running the bases, but it sounds like he was dogging it?
  6. If there was ever a decision that deserves so much glory, it goes to Melvin and Mark A. for giving this stud a long term deal at a steal of a price.
  7. Nice job Prince, not. Counsell with another hit with the bases loaded. Awesome.
  8. I wish there was some news on the situation. There was an article a page or so ago, but we haven't really heard much from Melvin and co. I have a big fear that the brass is waiting on the Prince situation, and that would be a big mistake, IMO.
  9. For the longest time, I was in the "must sign Prince" camp. Honestly, I feel way different now. It's becoming more and more obvious that he's going to want a monster deal and it just won't make sense. Also, even if we give him some monster contract, Weeks is most likely gone. I hope that's not the case, but it's likely. Ideally, I was really hoping we'd start seeing those younger arm in the organization step up, but this might be a little early to tell. I think there's talent, and if we sign Prince to that big deal, the pitching has to come from the minors. If history dictates anything, we won't have that great of young pitching to rely on with a limited payroll with Prince. I don't think they would consider dealing him until next trading deadline or next offseason, which might be a mistake b/c you could probably get more this trading deadline, but I'd be ecstatic if this team could get some young arms to build around with Yovani, Braun and Weeks as the core. I just think giving Prince a large contract with the organization's inability to develop young pitching would be a bad idea.
  10. I'm very excited for not only LuCroy, but also Lo Cain. We really could use Cain to be the leadoff guy and put Rickie where he ideally belongs (#2 ).
  11. I would love to see him brought up, but I don't want to him sit on the pine Mat Gamel style either.
  12. It looks like there's two lines of thinking here... -People discussing how horrible the pitching has been -People disregarding the results because it's early Hopefully there's a medium here. I'd take average pitching, but that's probably not realistic.
  13. Gomez just needs to take pitches without going up there hacking. I'm surprised he actually took 3 balls.
  14. Here I thought Hawkins was going to be fairly decent with those first few appearances.
  15. Nice job Carlos. You're going to score on pretty much any single yet you run like a bandit on a short fly ball. Dumb.
  16. And that's exactly why he's a poor choice for our Brewers. In case anyone hadn't figured that out yet.
