  1. I'd love to get him as a buy low candidate, but having to deal Gamel isn't buying low. I also doubt Jack Z sells low.
  2. That's exactly what I mean. They give out big deals and it doesn't kill their chances of success. Two deals mentioned, Lowell and Lugo were traded. Sure, they had to pay some of the contract, but it hasn't hurt them that much.
  3. Stark's version: Phillies get: Halladay, Gillies, Aumont Mariners get: Lee Blue Jays get: Taylor, D'Arnaud, Drabek or Happ
  4. As part of the deal, Halladay would agree to a three-year extension through 2013, with a vesting option that could lengthen the deal by another year or two, one source said. The extension is expected to guarantee Halladay in the neighborhood of $60 million, plus the $15.75 million he would make in 2010, the final year of his current contract. According to a source who spoke with two teams involved in the trade, Toronto would get highly regarded Mariners pitching prospect Phillippe Aumont, Phillies catching prospect Travis d'Arnaud and another Phillies prospect in exchange for Halladay. Indications are that the Phillies have balked at Toronto's repeated requests for outfielder Domonic Brown, and the Phillies are offering highly touted outfielder Michael Taylor instead. Seattle would also send two prospects to Philadelphia in exchange for Lee, who is a year away from free agency. As of late Monday afternoon, the extension had not been agreed upon. And the Blue Jays and Phillies were still haggling over the final prospect. In addition, Phillies doctors would have to sign off on Halladay's physical. Jayson Stark Link
  5. When was the last time they regretted a big deal they gave out?
  6. I really hope Philly gets fleeced, but that's not likely to happen.
  7. Many good one liners from tonight's episode. "What if you you were a really, really, bad boy....
  8. I read somewhere that he wanted what he made 2 years ago- 12 million. Good luck with that Ben.
  9. And your best player fouls out before the OT. Trevon fouled out in OT.
  10. Texas has reportedly offered Perez and Smoak for Johnson. (rumor) http://espn.go.com/dallas/columns/rangers/blog/_/post/4725755 Umm, wow?
  11. 3 year 31 million is too much for a pitcher like Wolf, IMO. I hope the Brewers don't continue to up the ante and just say take it or leave it.
  12. Why in the world would anyone be gullible enough to believe someone's "sources" in the comment section of the jsonline blogs? Not to knock you or anything, but people make up things all the time.
  13. I find it funny that everyone knows it's fake, but TH actually goes and asks someone within the organization if it's true. TH mocks people about the rumor and then asks someone if its true. LOL at TH.
  14. Millwood's not terrible, but "ugh" I want to know who's idea it was to target him. He had the worst K/BB ratio of his career last season, and his lowest GB/FB since 2003. His FIP was 1.13 runs higher than his ERA, that's the worst difference in any year of his career. The timing couldn't be any worse. He's a terrible trade target. Let's not forget that Arlington isn't exactly a pitchers park either...
  15. I don't like that comparison. Gallardo hasn't had TJ surgery. If teams don't factor in having TJ surgery, then they are going to get burnt in this deal. Not saying going after him is a bad idea, but you can't compare him to Gallardo who hasn't had arm troubles.
  16. The thing I like about him is that he throws hard. Nothing else.
  17. I'd give up Salome if someone else is added. I really don't want to give up Lucroy though.
  18. I got the jerseys as well. Definitely can' t complain for the price. Nice jerseys. Just to echo what others have said, thanks for putting this together Josh!
  19. I'm sure Blanco could teach Lucroy a thing or two.
  20. I personally wouldn't want Happ either. At 27, he's not really a guy I would target for Gamel. Also, he was hit harder down the stretch and in the playoffs than in the beginning of the year. Maybe guys finally figured him out and he's got to adjust, but I wouldn't deal Gamel for him.
  21. I think since it was waivers, he just goes straight to Houston. I could be wrong on that one though.
  22. Sign in. Go to advanced search and then to completed listings.
  23. The only problem I see is that we wouldn't have a long term solution at 3B. I think McGahee and definitely Gamel would be the future, but if you trade them then it seems like you are banking on taylor green a lot.
  24. Comparing to mine, the inscription is dead on and most of everything is right on. The "White" seems right on and also the formation of the 92. the only thing I question is the loop on the "R", as I haven't seem him loop the R. The double "e" definitely looks like his. I'm certainly no expert just so you know...lol
