  1. I hate the Reds in the sense that they've owned the Brewers the past couple years. Other than that I don't really have any problems. Sure, they have a couple players that annoy me, but what team doesn't? As far as I can tell none of their stars are outwardly jerk-ish, and there's no reason to hate Dusty as long as he's not managing your favorite team. I've never known Cincinnati fans to be obnoxious, so that's not an issue either. St. Louis on the other hand fits the bill for all three. TLR, Molina/Carpenter/Pujols/scrappy middle infielders over-performing/sucky starting pitchers over-performing, and a decent portion of their fan base having the mightier-than-thou attitude. However, as much as I hate to admit it, I was at a Cardinals-Brewers series in August '09 and every single person we encountered was very friendly to us. Then again St. Louis had a huge lead on everyone in the division so I'm sure that helped. I'm curious as to what my experience would be like if I went to the next series there in Brewers gear.
  2. I guess it just took it differently then. Either way, TLR and Molina reminded me tonight why they are reasons #1 and #2 why I hate the Cards so much.
  3. DISCLAIMER: I am in no way attempting to defend Molina's actions. He clearly overreacted and deserves to be fined and suspended. However, Brian and Bill were talking like he's going to be suspended for 20 games, "He could be gone for a WHILE." I honestly don't think he intentionally spit on the ump, and while bumping him multiple times is incredibly stupid, I feel like the ump overreacted by throwing his head back when all that got bumped was his chest. I have no idea what the actual suspension will be, but I feel like 5-7games would be about right. The more the merrier, though.
  4. Not walking Berkman?Yeah, good point. I know, process over outcome and all that, but Estrada threw an out pitch that just happened to fall.
  5. There's probably 8-10 worse losses this year. At least there weren't any managerial mistakes (that cost them) in this one and it was lack of execution from the players. That's going to happen from time to time, especially with this dreadful defense.
  6. And the game is won on a weak bloop hit by Berkman that followed Estrada letting Holliday walk down to second base. Man. Or it was the Brewers defense in the 4th and them stranding the bases loaded in the 7th with no outs. Either way.
  7. No better way to describe Yuni than swinging at a 2-0 breaking ball out of the zone.
  8. And unfortunately it's still McGehee and Betancourt
  9. I suppose having a lefty in the pen would maybe help the Brewers here.
  10. Would there be a cooler ending than Morgan scoring on a wild pitch/passed ball? Think of his reaction.
  11. To be fair, the pitch to Molina was a ball. And to be even more fair, he reacted like it was 8 inches off the plate and this is the playoffs and it's not possible for him to get suspended.
  12. Relax there dude on the cutting guys over a brainfart It's funny reading this and then looking at danzig's avatar. As awesome as it would be for the Brewers to over-celebrate some sort of walk off win, I'd rather avoid one of their studs getting hurt because of a stupid beaning.
  13. Doesn't matter who plays in this Brewer infield, they'll be bad defensively. Good lord. Silver lining: Not a good pitch, that could have been crushed.
  14. Pro: Yay, no runs. Con: That inning is sure cause for celebration, idiot.
  15. It's really hard to root for KRod. Complaining about pitches that are clearly balls. Throw damn strikes to the guys before 3-4-5. Ugh. Any chance we see Axford here?
  16. This guy also was/is the mayor of Cincinnati. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zzq5hw5KSXU
  17. Wow that was high! I'd feel bad if it was any other team.
  18. Kotsay was a mile behind a 94 MPH fastball, no way he catches up to 97.
  19. McGehee almost hit in the head, let's throw at their 8th best starter!
  20. I'm like 99% sure that was the Cardinals it was against. Yost got completely outplayed in a September 07 game when the Brewers were still in contention.
  21. The last thing we want is for Braun to get tossed and this to escalate into something more. TLR is clearly a classless moron. Just go with the dumb archaic baseball tradition and take the free base in a tie game against your main rival for the division at this point.
  22. No one on the Brewers is going to get hit intentionally.
