  1. I went to a show there a couple years ago and could park on the street just a few blocks away for free. There are side streets that are pretty residential close to the venue. It's not like you have to go right downtown or anything.
  2. I've known two different people who parked on the street who have had their cars broken into while at shows at The Rave. It's obviously cheaper (free), but don't be surprised if something like that happens. Also, the sound generally sucks and the place is kind of a dump in general, as people have mentioned.
  3. 1. The beer pours seemed to be like that everywhere. 2. That happens every year. It's probably not going to go away. 3. Unfortunately happens every year too, but it doesn't make it less annoying. I'll add people talking during shows in general to this. I don't remember the exact Lips song, it was a longer quieter one, but some guy was talking to his friends the ENTIRE time. There wasn't more than 5 seconds of silence from him. I get that it's Summerfest and there's always going to be drunken idiots talking during shows, but at least do it far enough back so you're not disturbing people. P.S. Awesome cat names.
  4. A good amount of that was in the American League, too. Not that the AL West was/is known for it's offense, but still.
  5. I'm guessing he meant it as a fewer options, so other teams would be willing to spend a bit more to get a guy like Bell.
  6. Kind of funny to me that (I'm guessing) the main/only reason Kotsay is kept around is cause of the "good clubhouse guy" and veteran presence and all that, but Melvin doesn't mind bringing in a guy who punched out his girlfriend's dad.
  7. Lefties career .645 OPS against him. Looks a lot better than our "8th inning guy" for much of the first half.
  8. My thoughts exactly.
  9. Prince only had 3 his first time, who knows. I was afraid of him getting shut out after those first few swings.
  10. Anyone else ever think Adrian Gonzalez kind of looks like Dante from Clerks?
  11. What would be more surprising as a player, Omar Infante being told he made the ASG last year, or Sam Fuld being asked if he'd like to be a part of ESPN's HR Derby production.
  12. Obviously Berman is terrible, but the entire broadcast is just brutal to listen to. At least Rick Reilly hasn't been back since '08.
  13. Out of curiosity, what makes you think that? Maybe we're all used to Bill calling below average plays by the opponent "terrible," and calling terrible plays by the Brewers "not too good."
  14. I'm just glad RRR isn't going with an "8th inning guy". But yeah, Zach wasn't close on any of those.
  15. Is it so hard to have a comfortable game against this team.
  16. I remember that, I just seem to remember him having success against them in the past.
  17. So does Hernandez actually own the Brewers or is it my biased memory.
  18. What's the point of even having Braddock on the roster if he's not going to face the best LH batter in baseball.
  19. How often does a team face a lefty though, maybe twice a week? I don't think McGehee would break out of his prolonged slump if he's only getting like 4-8 AB's a week. It's not like he's known to mash lefties either. I'd rather they just swap him and Green for a while so they can both get consistent at bats.
  20. This is funny to me because during Wolf's last start, Kranitz said something along the lines of "If anyone in our rotation deserves to make the All-Star Game, it's him>
  21. I'm sure it's difficult to call balls and strikes when it's a knuckleballer, but these high strike calls are brutal. Some of been 4-5 inches high.
  22. I'd agree, except he was being interviewed about his experience on the slide as Morse hit that home run. When is the Brewers contract with FSN up?
