  1. I'm ready to add the DH to the NL and ban 1st/3rd basecoaches. Grown men making millions shouldn't need "coaches" on the diamond. Also, having nobody there would likely dramatically improve our baserunning.
  2. Can somebody please explain to me how Sedar has a job? Must have pics on Mark A or David S. Just absolutely pathetic. The past two years have been downright embarrassing. Two runners on with zero out, or 2nd/3rd with 1 out, and we get 0 runs 99% of the time. The rest of MLB scores atleast 1 run in 90% of those scenarios. Hard to see this team winning more than 75 games. Last year looks more and more like a flash in the pan and career years for literally everybody at the same time
  3. Given our "window" is probably the next 2-3 years, would make sense to keep the assets like Grandal and Moose that we can, given that any help coming from the farm probably wouldn't be here until Yelich and others have moved on.
  4. For some reason, I thought he made $15 million last season. Maybe that was the $15 million 2019 option that was mutually declined... Given the $5.5 and $10 million comps the past 2 seasons, that is probably too high, but I think I'd do 3/25 (2020-22) if he'd have interest in that
  5. Is this in blue? Feels like Burnes has been awful this year, both as a reliever AND a starter... Starter - 10.70 ERA 2.15 WHIP .380 BAA Reliever - 9.00 ERA 1.67 WHIP .258 BAA Both look awful... he has incredible in 2018, but something isn't right this year... Since moving to the bullpen in May... hit hard May 1, May 17, May 22, and May 30 solid outings May 4, May 6, May 10, May 11, May 14, May 24, May 27 Even removing the shelling on May 17th (7 runs in 2/3 IP), he still has a 5.07 ERA in the other 10 appearances
  6. BUMP Brewers need to extend Moose. With Shaw MIA, Aguillar looking like a one half-season wonder, and an offense that has struggled at times, I think we definitely need Moose in the fold during this "window". Would 3/41 get it done (confirms 2020 option with $15m for 2021 and 2022? Moose off to the best start (offensively) of his career. Has found there isn't a huge market for him past two offseasons. Maybe locks in some nice financial security for his family for his life (and his kids?)
  7. Ed Sedar needs to be canned. The guy is simply terrible. Not saying this specific play was his fault, but we are easily the worst baserunning team in the league and have been for some time. This team's inability to get runners in from 3rd with 0 or 1 outs is pretty pathetic. Our pitching has been great (aside from Burnes meltdown) in May, but we are getting eaten alive by mental mistakes and really lack fundamentals
  8. Awful... ugh, 19 baserunners and 4 runs... Going back to last year, we must lead the league in stranding the bases loaded. Worse, we seem to do it on a regular basis with no outs or one out. We literally have stranded two men on base EVERY inning all game.
  9. So you're offering a contract that either is 1/$60 or 2/$80 3/$105... crazy!
  10. Agreed. We are pot committed. Unlikely Hader is available for tomorrow. If Knebel pitches now, he might be unavailable. Atleast Peralta gave us big innings. But, gotta go for it now. Knowing we'll face murderer's row for Games 5 and 6 (and maybe 7), we need to lock this in.
  11. Not confident of actually being able to secure tickets.... (and want them in hand)... plus, with work tomorrow, unlikely that I'd be able to be in "que"
  12. Just bought 4 tickets for Outfield Field Box... Game 1 baby! Going to be EPIC Stubhub fees are a racket ($50/ticket)... but I felt $205/ticket was a fair price ($255 after the fees) for field level seats
  13. Does anyone know when they go on sale? I know I don't have a prayer of securing tickets directly (not a ST holder), but wondering when tickets will start appearing on the secondary market. I wasn't sure if ST holders bought the entire playoff strip (similar to packers) and would then have any unused tickets (for games that didn't happen) applied towards ST for next season. Any guesses on what it will cost to get a pair of terrace level seats? $250/ticket?
  14. Yeah.... Rockies pen is going to be way more rested than ours for trip back to Colorado
  15. Me too.... Aggy... you're down 0-2, if it is close, you need to protect the plate. You've done this 50 times in the past month
  16. I would hope those who vote for this award remember this. I think CC should win it, but actually the best division in baseball was the AL West Wins by Division AL West 436 NL Central 428 AL East 418 NL West 404 NL East 392 AL Central 353 AL- 1207 Wins NL- 1224 Wins If they really want to determine which league gets homefield advantage for the playoffs (other than best overall record), they could give it to the league with most interleague wins (NL this year)
  17. Another weak grounder... if Santana hadn't been picked off, that would have been another GIDP for Aggy. What an ugly game for 24
  18. Wow, just wow. I love this team but we seem to make LOADS of mental mistakes. Just no excuse for that.
  19. I would. Aggy has been the man lately... but has already made 6 consecutive outs tonight...
  20. True, but I'm more inclined to believe a proven player can rehab and return to being a proven player. A prospect who has never gained MLB experience (or atleast success) who is saddled with a major injury might not ever become a regular major leaguer.
