  1. Uecker has no problem mentioning Jaime Garcia's no-hitter and perfect game.
  2. Anyone else feel like they might as well get the no-hitter over with and see if this really is rock bottom?
  3. If the game really started at 7:15 (not 7:14 or 7:13), then the Brewers' half of the first took about four minutes. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  4. The view is better from the Canadian side. Though if you do only one touristy thing, the Maid of the Mist is pretty neat. Use a disposable camera that is water resistant.
  5. For me, this is a cringe-inducing lineup. The Riot Ugly Colby Baseball Jesus Butterfingers Two First Names Yadi They've Got Nick Punto?! Oh, Not Khalil Greene Jaime Garcia I'm sure it's a classy Cardinal lineup, but it's mostly made up of players I dislike, rationally or otherwise.
  6. The thing that strikes me about the Hoffman bobble is that the head does not bobble. I can barely get it to move. Perhaps it was meant to be emblematic of the rock-solid steadiness of the (2009) Trevor Hoffman.
  7. After looking through this thread, if I were "Keith," I'm not sure I'd want to 'fess up to it here.
  8. http://www.bigboomer.net/wp-content/uploads/iphone%20reset%20button_4.jpg
  9. WIBA radio in Madison just had one of those station ID things where a player says, "I'm (player's name) and you're listening to Brewers baseball on Newstalk 1310, WIBA." It was Jeff Suppan. I thought he couldn't hurt us anymore.
  10. They've got a decent collection of jerseys, at least.
  11. I was wondering why Cory Provus just read the lineup from game 1, except for Greinke. I'll edit. And strangely, brewers.com doesn't seem to even acknowledge this game. "Next game 5/5." Ooooookay.
  12. I'm sure Rick Schlesinger has his fingers crossed that Greinke doesn't show up like a dud early on in the season aka Gallardo or internally there will be people sweating. No problem if they're sweating - they'll have a towel! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. Seriously? Not sure I'd turn the debut into a circus in this case, but I guess that's not up to me. Per JSOnline, there will be 30,000 towels, 100 of which will have a sticker redeemable for a Greinke shirsey at the team store. Also, if Zack's home debut has to be rescheduled beyond Monday night, the towel giveaway will be rescheduled as well.
  14. We already have seats in TB 417 for a couple of those games. So howdy, occasional seat neighbor. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. C'mon, Marco - pitch like you should be allowed to stay with Milwaukee. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. The Brewers' Facebook page reports exactly that: Estrada in game 1 at 3:10 CT (though Brewers.com says 3:00) and Greinke in game 2, 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 1. Welcome to Greinke Debut Eve.
  17. So this means another set of sponsor changes at Miller Park?
  18. Baah, there's nothing now to stop Glee in our house. And this week they're doing Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours." Damn you, rain!
  19. If I were you, I'd hold out for the signed photo of Randy Wolf posing with an actual wolf.
  20. Chiming in a bit late, but remind me again how Nate McLouth won a Gold Glove?
  21. Zombies! No, wait, I enjoyed that thread. I hate bf.net. Actually, that was kind of funny too. There was a thread some time ago where one (now-banned) poster had a questionable theory about why handicapped parking spots weren't necessary. And who can forget the "Doug Davis' arm is cached" thread? Someone heard it in a bar, so it had to have been true.
  22. It's not a bobblehead, but the Mickey Mouse figurines sold to commemorate the Anaheim/LA All-Star Game last year didn't appeal to me at all. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51uJYkZXzfL._SL500_AA300_.jpg He's got baseball stitches in his face. Ouch!
  23. I think it's more like they're missing something. Another limitation for online ticket purchases is that the system can only look for X number of seats in the same row. If I want to bring a group of 12, I'd rather seek out 2 adjacent rows with 6 or 3 with 4 seats so the whole group can interact. Not being a programmer, I can accept that my desired search might be too particular to build into the software, but a first vs. third base side preference (as valpo suggests) doesn't sound impossible to program.
