  1. I won't lie - as a ticketholder for May 9, I hope the Brewers have no rainout or other schedule disruption over the rest of the road trip.
  2. Indeed, if who catches Wolf is the Brewers' biggest problem, we're doing all right.
  3. Plus the one time they were paired this season, Randy did all right (if I recall correctly). I was thinking before last Sunday's game, if Wolf gets shelled he should really rethink who catches him.
  4. It was all a misunderstanding, but Mike's ready to do community service anyway.
  5. Dear Bill Hall: Keep your mouth guard in your mouth. All the way in your mouth. Thanks, hawing
  6. That is crazy bad. The death toll is currently around 300 - more like there used to be back before Doppler radar and improved forecasting. Of course, if a super monstrous tornado hits your neighborhood directly, it kind of doesn't matter how much notice you get. This outbreak is being compared to the April 1974 outbreak, which I barely remember (I was 8 at the time).
  7. Ax threw 19-20 pitches last night, if I recall correctly. Maybe that made a difference to RRR. Edit: getting less impressed with Meat Tray. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  8. Also Miller Park Hawk.
  9. Yet they had no problem adding her to "the list" within 24 hours of learning she existed. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gifI won't give Charter much, but I'll give them this much: they don't badger me with crap like that. Of course, we ignore every call whose caller ID information we can't readily identify. Although this does not bug me, I still tip my cap to Robin19 for his tricked out BrewBerry. The only thing I'd suggest is that you follow BrewerfanToby as well.
  10. Nice game, this. I don't know how many times I've gone to the park looking at a lineup that doesn't favor the Brewers on paper, but works out in reality. Mad props to Marco Estrada. You can't ask for much better than he gave. He's pitching like he wants to make Milwaukee think twice before sending him back to Nashville. The Brewers haven't been perfect this month by any means, but I'm impressed that they have treaded water as well as they have, given the roster challenges they've faced. The chant while Leake was batting was either "Leake" or "Thief" - I couldn't tell. Sadly, there was no Jane's Addiction played, and although Leake got on base, he didn't try to steal anything (that I noticed). Since the roster moves happened so close to game time, we had no idea why people were cheering so in the 7th until Corey appeared, and did not realize what had transpired to get him back on the roster until we got home. He was a sight for sore eyes, even despite his utter lack of eye-candy factor. May Tuesday's game be the last time we see Mark Kotsay in the starting lineup - not to mention batting 5th! - for a while.
  11. I'm going tonight and will be sure to notify you all if that happens. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. I'm not happy about your predicament, but I love the term BrewBerry. I hope your service arrives on time.
  13. My guess is those who boo don't realize it's part of the game.
  14. It's not impossible, but I would hesitate to take the losers at jsonline at their collective word.
  15. They might get a boost by the Padres series if Greinke is really ready to roll by then. I'm slightly surprised there was so little mention of the hawk in Miller Park today. He flew around, not near our section but closer to others, and spent most of the bottom of the third inning parked in RF near Hunter Pence. After that half inning, he swooped around some more and landed briefly on a railing near the Gehl Club. He's also got a Twitter account, which is almost enough to make me give in and join twitter nation. Another interesting detail that may not have been evident to all happened when Carlos Lee fouled the next-to-last pitch of the game into the WTMJ booth, knocking over Uecker's computer monitor. It didn't look like Bob flinched. The monitor was put back into place after the game ended, but from the back I couldn't tell how well it survived. Nice game, appreciative crowd, and a bird of prey stalking Hunter Pence. What's not to love? Edited to add an AP photo of the hawk: http://mlb.mlb.com/images/2011/04/24/p59s3GzO.jpg
  16. I saw that on the out of town scoreboard today and wondered what unwritten rules were being violated this time.
  17. I saw that shirt on TV last night too, and I think it had a Miller Lite logo beneath the True to my Crew. So it might be a Miller thing.
  18. Busch I / Busch II / Busch III. I've also referred to the current facility as Latest Busch. Also, nice, OWBC.
  19. I think I predicted this in the chat last night. Careful what you ask for!
  20. I feel sorry for the person who gets that woman's phone number after she has to give it up.
  21. As a ticket holder for Tuesday's game (as well as a Corey Hart fan), I would be pleased if this came to pass.
