  1. I don't even see it on Charter in Madison. Brian Posick on WIBA just said it's 0-0 entering the second period.
  2. Sweet merciful crap, that same guy is responsible for "Bella Delina." Shaking fist...
  3. The last few meetings have been more of a "hang out and talk baseball" thing than anything else. Food is an option. Drink not so optional. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Let's just make sure to not talk politics! Last year, at Fourth Base, was quite nice in that they had a back room where we could converse without having to scream at each other over pounding noise or other patrons. I don't know if any of the Great Danes has a space like that. The Kelly's Bleachers meeting was probably close to 20. Last year was in the teens, I think. I can definitely get to any of the Great Danes, though for the sake of visitors' parking, I'd suggest we try one of the non-downtown venues. Or, pick whatever venue Nottso can get to. Those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting Nottso should find a way to do so! I'm afraid I am of less use than usual this spring in terms of organizing. My library assistant is on maternity leave and while that's a good thing for her, it has reduced my flexibility.

  8. Atlanta Journal-Constitution link Luis Salazar, who was tabbed to manage the Braves' high-A affiliate this season, was hit in the face by a line drive foul off the bat of Brian McCann. He was unconscious for 15 minutes, airlifted to a hospital, and (as of the time of the link above) had regained consciousness and was breathing on his own. This brings back too many memories of Mike Coolbaugh. Fingers crossed for his recovery.
  9. Well, now pretendastronaut has me all riled up and launching Ticketwatch 2011. We did get our early-renewal seat vouchers in today's mail. Not as glamorous as a 20 pack, but mail from the Brewers is mail from the Brewers. I felt better about it until I opened up Brewerfan and saw the Greinke news.
  10. OK, not worried then about who I see pitch on the 4th, 6th, 8th or 10th of April (for starters, no pun intended). Just for the record: McCalvy's Brew Beat entry
  11. We have tickets for the 4th and 6th, so it'll probably be the 5th. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif
  12. You mean "tights."
  13. Good stories, but that record is epically bad. I had a better record in games attended in 2002!
  14. The MLB-wide grit quotient has just dipped. Thanks for playing, Gregg.
  15. It was no stupider than Tom Trebelhorn's lineup card for one game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. I'd give it at least another two weeks before getting worried. Being eager to receive tickets, of course, is another (and most understandable) thing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  17. If a picture paints a thousand words, then why can't I paint you? The words will never show the you I've come to know... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. That was his 2011 highlight? Peaking early, a la 2010 Carlos Gomez.
  19. Agreed on this. Don't man down, man up! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  20. OK, someone just tied the game with a dinger...sounds like Katin. It was great to hear Bob's call!
  21. Just heard a Usinger's commercial with Uecker and Tony Migliaccio. Happy tears of joy forming. Then Cory had to pimp KwikTrip, "because $20.00 shouldn't cost you $21.50." Didn't miss that quite as much.
  22. This is a sight for sore eyes. Welcome back, baseball! Seriously.
  23. Good point on a giveaway item most likely having a sponsor's name or logo. There is nothing but the Brewers' logo on the towel. I was mildly surprised to come across a Brewers item I'd never seen or heard of before. But then again, the mid-to-late 1980s was before our season ticket era, so I wasn't attending as many games then. For what it's worth, the towel is pretty large at 60" long, so it would take quite a cannon to shoot it.
