  1. Who's going to be first to posit that Cain might have had that?
  2. True...though the hole's getting pretty deep. Also, Lincoln looked all right (at least for a Pirate pitcher) at Milwaukee before the all-star break.
  3. Hey, 1126, welcome back. Piniella's announcement reminds me of this Onion blurb from a little while back.
  4. Or else we'd be saying, "oh crap, what went wrong?" Congratulations to Cap - it's been way too long.
  5. Dear Brewers Bullpen: Don't give this one away. I'm not asking you, I'm telling you. Thanks. I mean it, hawing
  6. I'm glad you mentioned that, Jimbo. I got an email reply today from a Brewers employee asking me to phone him at my convenience to discuss this. May I use your July 5 experience as an example? (without naming you, of course)
  7. This bit from the JS story caught my eye: That would appear to hint at clubhouse discord, or at least tension.
  8. Dang it, you're right. I'm getting my iconic baseball movies confused. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif I think you can go get him now.
  9. I know the photo you're talking about. Sometimes photos like that come from the Wisconsin Historical Society's* Wisconsin Historical Images collection, but that one doesn't appear online (though what's online represents only a fraction of the photo collection). If you didn't see a photo credit in, say, the corner of that particular mural-sized photograph, I'd frankly contact the Brewers and ask where they got it. I'd be surprised if they weren't willing to tell you the source, though if it's their own records they may not be willing to share a copy. We have club seats for a game next week, so now that I'm curious too, I'll try to remember to have a peek. (*Disclosure: WHS is my employer, though I don't work directly with the image collections. But if you are interested in a tease, my current avatar is from the collection linked above. Do a subject search for "braves" and enjoy the results.)
  10. Plus Jeff Karstens is tonight's Pirates starter.
  11. You guys...you lollygag the ball around the infield. You lollygag your way down to first. You lollygag in and out of the dugout. You know what that makes you? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. Keep making your case for PT, Lorenzo. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. Congratulations to Lorenzo. May it lead to more playing time.
  14. Well, Cain's in on the double switch. Really tired of the siren they play at Turner Field (after Braves runs?). And for the record, I was also not a fan of the siren Prince has occasionally used as a walkup sound-effect.
  15. They do look tasty, but that doesn't mean they belong in a Milwaukee pitcher's arsenal.
  16. http://hadassahsabo.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/meatballs.jpg Stop throwing meatballs!
  17. That's what I thought too. I did email the Brewers about it, so we'll see if that gets anyone's attention.
  18. What's bugged me lately, upon arriving at our last 3-4 Brewer games, is a couple of guys who have decided to set up shop in the Giants/Molitor lot and stand in front of each approaching car with fistfuls of tickets to sell. They way they hover in front of each car and stare reminds me of the panhandlers in downtown Madison. It's unwelcoming at best. I accept the occasional need to unload a ticket or two last-minute by fans whose buddies bailed out on a game, but this is obnoxious.
  19. Note to Brewers: Do NOT trade for Kawakami. We are calling him Suppakami in the chat.
  20. Wasn't Casey's off-season knee surgery only intended to "clean things up" rather than fully solve whatever the problem was/is?
  21. I really hope Boston gives him an opportunity to play C and 1B this season. Talk about the ultimate super-sub.
  22. It'd be nice if Hanson could avoid injuring any Brewers this time. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif
  23. For anyone inclined to chat, the room is open and (for now at least) occupied.
