  1. It did almost look as though the security staff had been instructed not to make contact with the guy. It makes me appreciate the more motivated approach taken by MP field security on the occasions they've had someone to apprehend.
  2. Wear that shirt with pride, bensheeps. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. I like my crow well done.Well, it worked in the short-term, but it presents potential long-term problems, so maybe you should only snack on crow.
  4. /resisting temptation to say that Corey could have done that. Or Lorenzo Cain./ Well, we take what we can get. Nice, Diego. Not to get too greedy, but now we need a Brewers home run that Bob can call.
  5. Cory says that an X-ray on Corey's right wrist was negative, but he's having an MRI tomorrow. Crappity.
  6. The chat room is available if you want to join in, even if it's just to revel in hearing Uecker again.
  7. Bob sounds happy to be back. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Edit: on the flip side, those uniforms are giving me unhappy flashbacks.
  8. Welcome back tonight, Bob! A (Brewer) nation turns its lonely ears to you. And thanks to Cory for stepping up admirably, and to Davey for giving it a go.
  9. Wikipedia weighs in on the home run cycle. It hasn't happened yet in the majors, and only once in MiLB. If it ever happens, that will be crazy rare, and although I would not want it to be accomplished against the Brewers, I would be interested to see it.
  10. Could that possibly be Miller Park Way, not the actual ballpark? Not that I don't think either is possible.
  11. Yeah, I'm still kind of thinking I'll believe it when the red stuff to the west has passed. The first set of sirens surprised me too. The weather radio at the library had just gone off for the tornado watch, and it was sunny here. Then the first warning was for northern Dane County, with the nearest city in the path of the storm being DeForest. Yet the sirens sounded in central Madison, which freaked out our security guard and had him evacuating us to the storm shelter. It was hard to convince patrons to do this.
  12. I was going to say, all the usual weather geeks must have been either outside watching (ahem, OWBC) or in their basements and not near the internets. Dane County's warnings started about 2 1/2 hours ago and one part or another of the county has been under a tornado warning ever since. Just as the TV guys were saying that they thought the worst was over, another warning was issued for Iowa County, which should be headed to Madison in a bit if that cell holds together. Honestly, I was kind of surprised to see Bob Lindmeier suggesting the worst was over when there was clearly more red to the west.
  13. Are the Brewers hoping that Diego's achilles tendon ruptures?
  14. Nope, it'll be Jim Edmonds getting most of the starts because we have to see what the youngster can do. That's provided Diego's Achilles tendon doesn't get so bad it's impossible for him to play. For injury reasons, I would not be surprised to see Lorenzo back fairly soon.
  15. So far I've only watched half of the program, but I've enjoyed what I've seen. I don't know that I'd be as interested if another team were the subject.
  16. It's still on their product list. And apparently you can get 80 oz. bottles of at least some of their products!
  17. My hopes and dreams for this game are for Yovani to stay healthy, and for the Brewers to not suck.
  18. Joe Inglett shaved his epic beard. I don't even want to break that news to thablingster.
  19. I'd like to move on, someday, from my current signature, but the 2010 season just won't let me.
  20. So the Brewers aren't the only team to try to get by with fewer than 25 guys rather than put an injured-to-the-point-of-unavailability player on the DL. Getting back to the game...good god, Randy, get an out.
  21. Already being discussed here. Talk about happy news, though.
  22. My workplace's timekeeping system works only with IE - to my dismay. Otherwise, it's Firefox FTW for me; and Safari on the laptop only because I haven't yet felt motivated to download Firefox onto said laptop.
  23. The Brewers' Facebook page reports the same: Bob in the booth Friday vs. the Nats. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  24. Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait a little longer. That's on at 8.D'oh, so it is. I'll go change the timer. Thanks.
  25. Not going to lie: that ESPN program at 7:00 CDT is sounding increasingly appealing.
