  1. unreal the lack of excitement here after scoring 4 in the last two frames... And erasing a deficit to boot. I could understand if a majority of us were numb by now.
  2. Well-timed insurance runs? Who are these guys?
  3. Sorry, Ennder, I like Dave Bush too. When I see his name in a praiseful (or you might say, gushing) context, I flash back immediately to the fanfest game, when brewerjamie15 was relentless in his vocal reminders to everyone within earshot that Dave Bush was throwing a quality start.
  4. or the gushing for Dave Bush lovefest? Remember that quality start Dave Bush had in June, at the Fanfest? Yeah, that was cool.
  5. I thought about starting the IGT at 5:00 when I took a look and saw there was none...but I'd already been at work since 7:15. The pitcher is Gorzelanny, by the way; though that won't fit in the subject field.
  6. this ridiculous play Which Mark Attanasio got to see in person tonight. Edit: Oh, and this was Vampire's first win since June 9 (If I heard the radio correctly). http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
  7. Wow, the Pirates (and the Brewers' effort against them) have taken the life out of the IGT. Curse you, Pirates.
  8. The caption didn't say. But that would be interesting. Or else it would guarantee that Cirillo starts at 3B in place of Bell. Edit: I did some checking. It's Chase Utley, rounding the bags for one of his two homeruns hit on May 9, 2005.
  9. Here's my attempt at Santos-undermining mojo: http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/sports/brew/img/may05/chase509.jpg Victor, may you look similarly downtrodden tonight, as a Brewer rounds the bases courtesy of your pitch.
  10. Bill and Daron hemming and hawing? NO! Hey, don't bring me into this. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  11. The lineup doesn't make me cringe. That's welcome. Who has the 'Tomo/kazoo/fighting Okra' graphic to post? Lacking that for the moment, here is a different attempt at Tomo mojo: www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0XDo-p4Fmo
  12. So, Ben's pitching well.. *whistles nonchalantly* Hush.
  13. Woot, baserunners! *going back to keeping fingers crossed*
  14. Wow, crickets chirping all over the forum tonight. You're all speechless over Jenkins? I know it's not the Packers until Saturday night.
  15. Hey, they won a series. That'll make the rest of the day go better.
  16. Oh, my goodness. I didn't want to be right about the errorfest.
  17. OK, Coco, let's prevent a bottom-of-the-ninth. Edit: crap.
  18. I can't see the play, but I'm already thinking, no WAY does Moeller succeed at that. No. Way.
  19. Entering Thursday's game, the Brewers had played 11 consecutive errorless games, tying a franchise record set in July 1979. Jim Powell was all over that on the radio last night too. I predicted an errorfest for today, but even one error proves the point I was attempting to make.
  20. Is it just my imagination, or does Pierre's hat seem to be cocked to the side in his gameday pic? That would be a little Belliardesque.
  21. Anyone wanna try to guess what drug Aardsma was on when his picture was taken for Gameday? That wasn't my specific question, but he is sporting quite a picture, isn't he? Edit: And Henry Blanco's pic just cries out, "Grizzled Veteran."
  22. That is very bizarre, but I sure would not be the one to turn down free underwear. Oh, I didn't turn it down - Jockey is quality stuff, they're based in Kenosha and my S.O.'s brother works there. It just seemed like something that would happen to Homer Simpson: "Look, Marge! Free underwear! I got it at the ballgame! Woo-hoo!" ___ As for Dave Bush's effort, I was struggling to keep my eyes off the 0-0-0 line on the visitors' part of the scoreboard, because I feared jinxing the whole thing. Then stupid Pierre took care of that. But until then, those zeroes, they were mesmerizing.
  23. Four pages? I'm in mild disbelief. I hope that means some others of you were at the game or chose the chatroom instead. We had so much fun tonight (except when the visitors scored). I'm sure part of it was that my early expectations were solidly rock bottom, but consider this: Quality start for Dave Bush, featuring a tantalizing hitless streak. Got in Hothead's head. I love watching him unravel. Love it. JP was laying it on thick on the radio too. You go, JP. Some effective hitting by the Brewers. Did anyone hear the one person clapping for Brady before he went yard? That was me. A completely undramatic 9th inning. Fan ratio in our section was maybe 55-45 Brewers-Cubs - still worse than any other visiting team, but we've experienced much worse with the northside fans. It helped considerably that they were quiet for nearly the whole game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif We also scored some "Take Back Miller Park" t-shirts; and in a more bizarre giveaway, Jockey was giving away underwear in a tent outside the park. Finally, while taking stuff out of the back of the car upon arriving home, I found my Fanfest '06 pin - which had fallen off my backpack sometime in the last six weeks or so. I figured it was gone for good, but I have it again. May it signal a return to positive Brewers mojo.
