  1. Yes, kudos on the speedy dispatch of that aggravating poster. I saw that comment and tried to cut and paste it but couldn't. Am I missing something other than the right click/Copy or Cut?
  2. Jim Powell seems to think today is a, uh, must-win game.
  3. We're going to win by 7 runs. Just in time to fool fans into attending the upcoming homestand after all. Well, c'mon Brewers. Surprise me.
  4. Whoa - don't mess with Jamie! is what Jamie's picture says to me. AJAY and Nullbyte project the kind of confidence that I want to see in our website's softball team. Jimbo totally looks like the stat dude, almost a manager type (but, as above, I don't want to mess with Jamie). Brian's bf.net cap is a nice touch. I think razzzorsharp's name on the card is missing some Zs. Overall, really good work, ICN (even though you cleverly excluded yourself). I feel almost like I was there.
  5. Dana could easily be the "GIDP or GS" guy. No need for Kolb.
  6. Kolb? Can't tell if that's better...
  7. I am in fear of the circus. Well put. (Though I wish it weren't such an automatic feeling.)
  8. Does this game remind you of Wednesday's game? Yes. And I'm not even a guy.
  9. So if we use the sarcasm color, is it like talking a blue streak? (Despite that wisecrack, I like the idea.)
  10. that statement pretty much characterizes the Milwaukee Brewers. They're all over the board. It's like SoCal has been saying: Team Sybil.
  11. Thank you. Thank you, Jamey Wright.
  12. Anyone remember the Miller Park videoboard routine for the starting lineup when Jamey Wright was a Brewer? They'd show him, Robb Edwards would intone "Number 21, JAMEY WRIGHT" - and Jamey pointed at the screen (like he was pointing at you, the videoboard viewer). Maybe he was trying to look tough, but that was just goofy.

  14. 36000+ fans at SF tonight. Most of them probably disappointed. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. OK, so much for the quality start.
  16. Crap. And that's another ND for Sharpie to boot. I was thinking Lidge too, TC.
  17. I'm back in the Midwest and can finally catch a game live! TV *or* radio! IGT *and/or* chat room! This alone has me pumped. Obviously I'd rather see a July 4 type Sharpie outing than a July 9 type. C'mon, Brewers. Don't let down our southwest posters.
  18. However, i've been thinking about starting up a Madison chapter of BF.net softball. Sweet. I can see the jersey now: HAWING 49 The only problem is, I'd be a complete liability anywhere on the field. However, perhaps I could do stats or something.
  19. Thanks for updating, Peavey. I wasn't aware of the scratch. So...let's hope Doug stays sharp and the bats can get to Rusch. Here's some Sharpie mojo for good measure: http://www.shoplet.com/office/limages/JSAN0522.JPG
  20. Coming to you live from the Pacific Northwest, today's IGT start. Let's hope Doug stays sharp and the bats can get to Prior. I'll be watching the scoreboard from Safeco Field, thanks in large part to the generosity of fellow poster EdgarDiazRocks. (The Mariners are riding a 6 game losing streak and will be trying to prevent a Tigers sweep today. It could possibly be worse.) EDIT: To change Prior to Rusch. -PF
  21. Novoa looks hittable...then again, so did lil' Marmol (whose gameday picture makes him look like a teenager). C'mon, guys. Don't make me ashamed to wear my Brewers hat on vacation.
  22. We're here for you, Brian and Nicole. (OK, Tom and I won't be back until next Friday, but you get the idea.) Holler, or better yet inbox, if we can answer any questions. (We're librarians! We can answer a lot!)
  23. Great googly moogly... We just got settled in our hotel in Seattle (with a laptop) and I naturally got right down to catching up on Brewers news. I read the score of the Wednesday night marathon on Thursday afternoon, but only now saw the box score and recap (which I got tired reading, forget about the glorious IGT). I dangled my walkman all over the train car Thursday night, trying to keep a signal, until the ESPN radio guys (somewhere in Montana) finally gave the Capuano shutout score. And it wasn't until I found a Seattle newspaper this morning that I saw that Mike Rivera is on the big league roster...and I knew what THAT meant. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif What a difference a couple of days makes. I have a new understanding of how you posters outside the Brewers' market live now. I salute you all. Keep going, Brewers! Get to Hothead early and often!
  24. We're due to board the train west in a few hours, so my only chance to wish the Brewers well is now. Go team! Don't make me wince when I check the papers or the radio, or (eventually) this website again.
