  1. Oof. I remember reading the pre-draft on Steph Curry and they just whiffed bad on him too. Something like "could be a useful role player/6th man".
  2. Yerman Mercedes pronounced via Instagram that he's walking away from baseball. Speculation is he's frustrated with the White Sox leaving him down in the minors. I know he struggled in May, but I may only be half joking when I suggest the Brewers should kick the tires on a possible trade.
  3. Brewers are gonna trade for Trey Mancini and a bullpen arm and blow the doors off the NL Central and then cruise to the NL championship, so I'm changing my vote to Brewers.
  4. DDV is not injury prone. He tore a ligament in his ankle in a fluke injury after playing all but 6 games in the regular season. He's a more than capable scorer. They don't really need him (or any SG) to be a volume scorer with Giannis, Middleton, and Jrue handling the massive bulk of scoring. He's a good defender, good rebounder, good 3P shooter, and distributes the ball well. With the team as cash strapped as they are, DDV fills the role he's asked to play just fine.
  5. I don't care what the team they go to does if the Brewers are out of it.
  6. I'm in Janesville, (about 70 minutes from MKE), and they said Bucks gear was allowable for Tuesday for a "casual" day, and conservatively, 70% of the people at work had Bucks shirts/t-shirts/jerseys on, except for the front office people, who are stuffy losers. For most of the playoffs since we took out the Nets, the Bucks have been pretty heavily talked about by most of the "sports fan" folks I work with.
  7. Cruising through Twitter, Facebook, and a few of the comments here this morning, one thing that keeps popping up is "but the nets injuries" The only thing I have to say about that is this. You go and get three somewhat aging superstars you assume the risk. It's like buying a finicky, used, European supercar. It's going to run sometimes, and sometimes you're going to want to take it out on the weekend but it's in the shop because some piece of electronic equipment on it isn't working the way it needs to work. Injuries are part of sports. They don't put an asterisk on the championship t-shirts or on the trophy. Nobody's even going to remember the 2020-21 nets. The only people that remember Brian bostic dropping the onside kick in 2014 NFC title game is packer fans. Nobody cares. Giannis is the king and last night was his coronation.
  8. Obviously with DDV, we would not have seen 30-ish minutes of Patty c in a lot of these games. Dante plays a lot tighter defense and he adds another scoring threat. Not that Patty isn't a good shooter but having another guy who can shoot the ball is never a bad thing.
  9. Probably true, but I want the Brewers to break through, and then the bucks to repeat.
  10. I don't care about the nets. They have to prove that they can stay healthy. Next year is what it is. We got a world title. The circumstances are what they are. Bucks are the CHAMPS.
  11. He was one rebound from a triple double tonight. 9 rebounds and 11 assists.
  12. Mark Jackson said Giannis was dominant tonight. Mark. He had 50 points, 5 blocks, and 12 rebounds. He scored half our points, and most of the time he was getting double teamed.
  13. This question has been answered. The Giannis .......er,...... Milwaukee Bucks.
  14. Realistically, at this point, I'll agree that he shouldn't be. He showed in the last few rounds of these playoffs that he's capable of learning from his past mistakes and adjusting to "playoff" style basketball. Is he a great coach? No, I won't make that argument, but he's learned how to play playoff basketball and if the guys like playing for him and he's (at the very least) not a liability with stubborn poor decision making and dumb rotational minute and bench usage, firing Bud to bring in some other retread is probably an exercise in futility.
  15. Giannis is everything we always wanted him and needed him to be. Absolutely did everything and then some in a clinching game in a championship series.
  16. Hey. This has been a heck of a journey jabbering through these playoff games and title run with ya'll. Hopefully we get to do it again this October with the Crew.
  17. One of the greatest finals performances. EVer. wow.
  18. I'm gonna let this go for tonight WE"RE WORLD CHAMPS MAN OMG OMG OMG OMG I NEVER. EVER. Stopped believing in these guys!
  19. If Middleton and Holiday weren't 11 of 70 we'd be up by 30.
  20. SHOULD have had the ball up 8. Got outhustled.
  21. Foul calls have gotten a lot tighter in the 4th quarter.
  22. Imagine this game if Giannis wasn't knocking down his FT's.
  23. Did Portis just keep Paul from going at Foster? OR did I see that wrong?
