  1. Holiday shouldn't hesitate when he has that wide open 3
  2. PHX seems to be completely oblivious to Connaughton being a decent shooter. I don't know why they keep leaving him open out there.
  3. It's an IGT. Most of who are drinking. I get that IGT's are for knee jerk and spur of the moment taeks.... but the rapid fire "game over" "series over" "we don't stand a chance" posts kinda beat on the spirit of the people that wanna talk about the actual game.
  4. lol Booker screaming at the ref about a foul
  5. Last 14 days has a .941 OPS. Over the last month he has a .750 OPS He's 2 for his last 12. I don't wanna start juggling based on the results of 3 games worth of PA's.
  6. I mean, Shaw has been worse than a replacement player. He's been brutally bad. Yeah yeah yeah.... clutch timely hits. Those are a product of randomness, and not some measurable or repeatable skill. They can and should DFA Shaw the day he comes off the IL and find literally anyone off the scrap pile who can put up more than a negative .7 WAR over 200 PA's. Urias *should* be playing almost everyday, given that he's performing well, and has already broken out of the mini slump he was in shortly before the AS break. If he gets hurt and the Brewers put Shaw back in full time at 3B, they're in trouble. Peterson at this point is the de facto backup 3B. He doesn't have a ton of experience there, but enough that I wouldn't feel awful if he played 2-3 weeks over there if Urias was out for a short while. And it makes me feel weird saying I 100/100 would rather play Peterson at 3B than Shaw.
  7. This post seems to assume a lot. You’re assuming the Brewers would start Shaw. He’s a great depth piece at 1b, 3b, DH, and even 2b. Even though he wasn’t producing great, he still had a knack for knocking in runs at key times. They way I view Shaw returning is that he’d be another option at 1b (since Tellez has been awful in limited time, Hiura has been awful, and only Vogelbach has shown signs of life) and he’d be depth at 3b. Urias can’t and won’t play every day WHy can't Urias play every day?
  8. Cain plays CF, shaw gets DFA'd, and Vogelbach goes to the bench and Reyes gets DFA'd Huira probably goes back to Nashville.
  9. I think 20 homers wasn't a completely outrageous possibility. He did have 19 in a half season of aaa in 2019. Didn't a ton of guys hit like that, though? That was when they used the MLB juiced ball at AAA I thought? I'm not saying I thought he'd hit 30 - 35. Saying 20 in a full season wouldn't be outrageous. He's got 13 now in 335 PA's. So.... on pace for around 20.
  10. I think 20 homers wasn't a completely outrageous possibility. He did have 19 in a half season of aaa in 2019.
  11. I'd honestly move Jace P up to 2nd at this point and throw Yelich down to 6th or 7th just to give him a chance to see some pitches without the pressure of trying to produce in the middle of the order.
  12. They've been bad for about four years now. I must've missed the news about the strike zone being expanded three inches off both sides of the plate. Just four years?
  13. half inning breaks are currently 2 minutes 5 seconds for commercials. That's 30 - 35 minutes extra, roughly. Not counting any additional breaks for relief pitching changes (4- 6 per game mid-inning) You go back to pre-tv and these half inning breaks were for sure a lot shorter. Game time in 1950 was 2 hours 20 minutes. In 1980 it was 2 hours 38 minutes. The length of game hasn't really gotten out of hand until the last few decades.
  14. I think sometimes Patty C gets running around being the "high energy guy" and makes dumb fouls by smashing into guys when he absolutely has no chance at affecting the outcome of a shot or a play because he will absolutely only play at full throttle. He'd be a better player if he contained himself at times and didn't swipe at guys from behind 1.5 seconds after they take a shot or leap at someone making a pass only to bodily crash into them. Just seems like he'd rather play all out than make good decisions.
  15. Booker had 42 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists. I'm not going to say that Jrue played a "good" game. He missed a lot of shots, and he took shots he shouldn't have taken. But he had 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and was all over Chris Paul *ALL NIGHT LONG*. Yup, we really need Jrue to shoot better, but at least he does a lot of other things to (try) to offset his bad shooting nights.
  16. Booker did. Nobody else did a whole lot on offense for the Suns. Booker went bonkers.
  17. That was the key play in that whole game winning sequence (IMO of course)
