  1. That's where I am. The Brewers can have a 10-game lead and I will still expect them to somehow not make the playoffs. I take whatever success from the bucks that they get. The Badgers will occasionally win a Rose bowl or an Orange bowl here or there and I have learned that that is the level of success that I need to be happy with. The Packers are a bit different. We won in 96, and there was no reason we shouldn't have. That team was absolutely studded with premier talent, and anything short of a super bowl victory would have been a massive massive disappointment. But they did what they were supposed to do and delivered. 2010 feels like an anomaly. They were eight and six and looking like they weren't even going to make the playoffs. They won their last two games and squeaked in. Then road victoried their way to the super bowl as a 10 and 6 team and beat the Steelers. Since then we've made it a habit of making it to the NFC title game to be someone else's stepping stone. That 2010 victory, I don't know, it just feels like we shouldn't have been there. Maybe it's my conditioning as a fan of Wisconsin sports teams.
  2. I still don't get why they're not setting up an all you can score buffet for Lopez. He should be getting 20 to 22 a game this series until or unless bkn proves that they can stop him.
  3. If it takes Durant 30 shots to get 32 pts, the defense did it's job.
  4. Hahaha that's awesome. Harden shaking his head at that is raw, unfiltered justice.
  5. Rip David stern
  6. I refuse this reality
  7. It's actually pathetic isn't it? Falling down on a jumper when nobody is even close to you and asking for a foul.
  8. Nice job by Middleton at the end of the quarter to push it back into double digits
  9. I realize there's phantom calls in the NBA but literally nobody touched him. He just ditched to the floor. Whistle!!
  10. When did Blake Griffin become such a soft baby?
  11. When harden falls down, the refs aren't automatically beholden to call a foul.
  12. Helps that Durant isn't making every shot
  13. I've gone from hoping he'll make his fts to just being mildly pleased when he does
  14. Hopefully they've really figured out in the early going what an absolute liability harden actually is.
  15. And everyone breathed a sigh of relief
  16. If a guy is a starting caliber hitter, he's generally a starter.
  17. Shaw has like a .606 ops. I don't even wanna hear about his rbi. Anyone hitting in his spot in the order with a .700 ops would have just as many and probably more
  18. Lets see in a month. Vogelbach and Urias are both on hot streaks making them a bit more legitimate than they may actually be. If both those guys are actually what their current numbers reflect we may not be in bad shape...but my guess is one goes cold again dragging their numbers back to a less respectable range. Vogelbach's approach doesn't match his physique. He's got 14 RBI in 140 AB's. Yeah he contributes by drawing a lot of walks and seeing a lot of pitches but don't you want your 275 pound first baseman driving in runs? Contrast that with Jesus Aguilar. Similar physique but Jesus has 49 RBI in 221 AB's. I think Brewers should focus on getting Aguilar back in a Brewer uniform. Vogelbach has also been hitting 2nd for most of the last month, so he doesn't get the same kind of RBI opportunities. Apples to Onions comparison. Aguilar has had almost double the plate appearances with runners on base to drive in. I'm not even going to say I wouldn't be happy if the Brewers went out and got Jesus, but there's more to a skill set than RBI. If they want Vogelbach to get on base (which he does pretty decently), then I hope he keeps it up.
  19. Jason Kidd? Just about any coach. Not J-Kidd.
  20. That is an above average starting lineup. Definitely seems a lot better than the perception, although Taylor looks kind of cherry picked to inflate the numbers, we all know he isn't in the regular lineup when everyone is healthy. That's definitely fair. Cain will be in there if healthy. I don't have a problem with that. Cain is a better defender than Taylor. One guy with a wRC+ around 90 isn't going to kill the lineup. Now say... if we had a Mark Kotsay to plug in there......
  21. The Brewers this season are 5-2 vs the Padres and 3-1 vs. the Dodgers.
  22. That is an above average starting lineup.
  23. The thing is, the roster is good enough. Even with the Nets having three superstars, we could have (and should have) won this series. Maybe they still can, but that's obviously doubtful. With a coach with a shred, just a SHRED of creativity and thoughtfulness and most of all, willingness to adjust and think outside the box and be willing to adjust his team's identity when necessary, this series would be heading towards a completely different outcome. I'm not taking the blame away from Giannis and his untimely blunders, but the offense is the way it is, by design, by Bud's design. He has a plan, and he absolutely refuses to adjust. We've seen it time and again. And again, and again, and again. I'm convinced that with just about ANY coach, this team has the talent to win it all, IF coached properly. It just needs to adjust and play to their strengths and more importantly, against opponents weaknesses. Teams adjust their own identities to take advantage of what the Bucks don't do well, but we don't EVER do the same in return. Why? That's coaching. It's gut check time for the leadership of the franchise. The window is still open, but it's getting pretty narrow. This playoff series has to have shown what they must have already known about Budenholzer. It's time to make a change.
