  1. Mixing it up with rosin makes a sticky paste-like substance.
  2. Man, it's weird when I literally would rather see Pablo Reyes starting.
  3. Nobody said the offense was fantastic. When everyone is healthy it's probably average or maybe even slightly above average. It's not woefully short or embarrassing. If they don't get everyone healthy, it's reasonable to assume that they'll make more moves, like the one they did to get Adames.
  4. Logically, we all know he's not going to change. Optimistically, as a fan, I choose to at least hope that individual players (Giannis, Jrue), will, in the heat of the moment, not take 22.5 seconds off the clock and then take an off balance contested jumper without making a single pass during an entire offensive set with the game on the line. Logically, I know that's what's going to happen, and it's practically by design, but optimistically, I hope that's not what happens. I know that the Bucks have the ability to make that not happen, and as a fan, I have to hope it does, but we'll see, I guess.
  5. The thing about Giannis Is he just needs to recognize, or Bud needs to recognize the things that he can't, or shouldn't do. I don't mind giannis bringing the ball up in transition or a fast break and driving to the hoop but once we get into half court he should give up the ball instead of dribbling at the top of the key waiting for someone to come open or shooting a long jumper. We keep saying if he just added that to his game he'd be great but he's not doing it and I don't think at this point that's a weapon he's going to add to his arsenal. He's practically unstoppable at the rim and in the paint when he chooses to be but there's just things he wants to be because he was told at one point he's a point center. It's neat seeing a 7-ft dude with decent ball handling skills. But that's all he has is decent ball handling skills. He's not John Stockton, or magic Johnson. The offense should go to him, but not through him. Like, hey if all we got out of the 15th pick in that draft was an absolute superstar dominant post player, who can run a transition fast break, that's not the end of the world. He doesn't have to be the best player in the NBA with an absolute all-around game for us to win a title. He just has to stop trying to do things that he's not capable of doing and making brutal mistakes in crunch time.
  6. The bucks played like garbage for the last 18 minutes of the second half. Kevin Durant, one of the best players of all time, played one of his greatest games of his career. It still came down to the last minute of the game. If that means the series is over, then so be it. I'm willing to bet, that Durant won't play the best game of his life the next two games. Harden is still a wounded duck. The bucks absolutely have to realize that they can't just play ISO ball. If they do they can win. If they get a comfortable lead, and just start chucking contested shots, they will lose. If Kevin Durant plays two of the best games of his life the next two games, the nets will win.
  7. These guys still rely on "conventional wisdom", and conventional wisdom was/is "home team uses their closer in the 9th inning of a tie game" That paradigm has changed now..... or at least it should. If your closer is a big 14+ k/9 guy, and you don't have another one for the 10th, when there's automatically a runner on, I think it makes more sense (as you've pointed out) to use the high K rate pitcher for the runner on situation. I know, "you have to get there", but IMO at least, I feel like the conventional wisdom on this should shift a bit.
  8. He's definitely right about the 2nd part. Durant had a great night. Make no mistake. You almost can't defend that. he shot lights out. It just shouldn't have mattered. The Bucks got pressed, and stopped running inside offense. They weren't even working for open jumpers, they just started taking contested shots after one (or zero) passes. Just like games 1-2-3. Not much to figure out, which is honestly, kinda dumb.
  9. Durant catches a lot of grief for chasing rings on Super Teams (which he should), but he is legitimately a top 10 player. He can score from anywhere with or without the ball, practically at will. I'm not sure what to say about Giannis. He's definitely a "superstar" in every sense of the word, but I do think he has relied too much on his athleticism, and all the talk of "improving his game" is just talk. Does he hit the weights and crush his cardio? Most likely. I just don't think this work he says he's putting in is translating to making him a better overall player. I mean, if "all" he was was an unbelievably great post player with the length and athleticism to run a full court transition, and be a pretty good passer he'd still be a superstar, but there's too many times he's taking the ball to the top of the key and either just waiting for someone to come open, because he's not really a creator from that position, or just trying to crash through defenders and hoping his size and athleticism will get him through. Teams know what he's about now, and that bull in a china shop approach just doesn't work in half court. He's gotta learn and grow and see what his weaknesses are, and what we see.. it doesn't seem like that's the case.
  10. Either way, they had to/have to win one in Jersey. Durant isn't coming out and scoring 50 again in game 7 (if it gets there) I mean, he might, but Jeff Green isn't going to shoot 7 of 8 from three again. Same old story...."XYZ won't shoot that from three". Fred Van Vleet, Jeff Green, Betty White; doesn't matter. When you slough off, they are pros and are going to hit. Durant will get his. Great defense in the first half, then they completely dropped the intensity and welp, outcome became predictable. I know you only show up after losses to complain about the 3P defense, but going 7/8 from 3 is absurd, and the last 3 durant made was an off balance circus shot with Middleton right in his face at the shot clock. Stuff happens. If you predict that Green (or anyone) will go 7/8 again in support of Durant, I'd take the under 99 times out of 100
  11. Either way, they had to/have to win one in Jersey. Durant isn't coming out and scoring 50 again in game 7 (if it gets there) I mean, he might, but Jeff Green isn't going to shoot 7 of 8 from three again.
  12. WHy have the ball in the worst free throw shooter's hands?
  13. I don't believe the Bucks aren't good enough to win a title, but I do believe that they are fighting uphill trying to win a title with Coach Bud. What's out there that's better? I don't know. I think Bud is a *fine* regular season coach, because night in and night out, refusing to adjust doesn't cost you a playoff series. ANY coach that understands that adjusting to who you're playing and understanding that sometimes shifting away from who you are a little bit and not being so stoically opposed to altering your identity, even a teensy bit might be a good idea.
  14. I mean.... what can you do about that......
  15. Bud has proven to be very adamant at not changing things or adjusting based on in game trends.
  16. Harden on Giannis and you take a fade..
  17. 24 seconds and Holiday never passed the ball and tried to shoot a rainbow over durant.
  18. He's one of those dudes that gets credit for being "high energy" because he plays fast paced 100% of the time, but he doesn't know where he's supposed to be half the time and a lot of his running around is recovery and just flat out chasing. I like him for what he is. He can produce some offense, he can get a few boards, and he IS a *high energy* guy, but he shouldn't be playing significant minutes in a game that can make or break your whole season.
  19. Just gonna take crappy contested shots now. That's game over if that's the case.
  20. So we're gonna tighten up, not pass the ball, and instead take contested jumpers again. Sigh....
  21. Given the amount of "contact" it takes Durant to draw a foul, never.
  22. The offense should be "whoever Harden is guarding"
  23. Yikes, I don't like him taking that but ok.
  24. Gut check time right now
