  1. Not going to be much of a game left by then if they can't start finding the bottom of the net on some of these. I mean, a 9 point lead can evaporate in a few minutes, but I just don't understand why we're settling for jumpers. Giannis letting Griffin sag off of him and taking a 15 footer is not good shot selection. He can take 33 year old Blake Griffin off the dribble 8 times out of 10. Stop taking low percentage shots.
  2. Shooting like butt from 3 and only down 3. Gotta start making some shots and getting the ball inside
  3. so much for trying to grind the ball inside aginst the Nets weak interior D.....
  4. For everyone that expected/predicted a shootout, they're not getting disappointed so far.
  5. 2nd chance points. Beating BKN up in the paint.
  6. 6 minutes of watching the first quarter of the first game has shown that the Bucks are going to go hard to the rim as much as they can.
  7. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/31572769/mlb-plans-enforcement-foreign-substance-rules-being-finalized-rollout-pending-sources-say It's happening
  8. I thought phoenix was cooked after game 3. Without AD the Lakers are just super average.
  9. I'm just super excited about the fact that every single time someone mentions the Cubs or Cardinals from here til August, someone's going to correct them and say "what they're doing doesn't matter"
  10. That is beyond reprehensible. The A's/ management blaming the vendor is classic passing the buck. Juat say "WE have to do better".
  11. Mike Yastremski was a 28 year old rookie. Sometimes guys come up late and hit. Most of the time they don't. But.......sometimes they do. I don't think Zach Green is the next Mike Yastremski. But in lieu of a .440 OPS 1st baseman and a 3rd baseman who's OPS'd around .550 the last month, I'd be willing to give Green at least a little bit of a look.
  12. Until the shift is outlawed, shaws babip is probably gonna stay right where it is. It's easy to say, and people keep saying it.... " Just hit to left field" but I'm sure these guys have thought of that. Especially a dude hitting .190. Hitting wherever you want against big league pitching isn't as simple as just doing it. If it was, teams wouldn't have all these massive shift deployments.
  13. Maybe it just seems this way, but hasn’t Shaw come through quite a bit in the clutch this year, and aren’t his RBIs a respectable number? I don’t recall Smoak really providing much in general, so even though Shaw’s numbers aren’t good, he has provided some value. All that being said, if we could find a decent 1B I’d be all over sending Hiura down for an extended period and getting rid of Vogelbach and/or Shaw. In the last 28 days Shaw has one homer and 5 RBI. He had some big hits back in April, but honestly the guy is down to a .643 OPS. He hasn't been decent since 2018 and he's not giving any indication that he's anything other than what he is at this point.
  14. I think people look at the box score sometimes and see PJ Tucker went 0 - 2 shooting and had 2 rebounds and think "man he doesn't do much" but when you watch the games you see he's constantly moving, playing absolutely hard nosed defense, he can switch quickly, he calls plays on the fly, and knows when to call for defenders.... he's inside boxing out and creating space for the rebounders, he's spacing the floor properly... he's doing a lot of things so well that help facilitate the things the team needs to do to be successful. I think back to Tony Snell. He was another guy who put up empty stat sheets but he pretty much stood around the perimeter and waited for someone to drag his defender off of him and then get a pass for a wide open three. He couldn't create shots, space the floor, be part of a dynamic passing offense. He played decent one on one D, but he didn't rotate well, rebound well, or really do anything else particularly well. PJ Tucker has blended so well with this team, if they get to the finals he's going to be a huge reason for that success.
  15. So he generally loses as a lower seed. Makes sense.
  16. so if Freddy finishes it out, does he get credit for a CG? I know Bumgarner didn't get an "official" no hitter. Wondering how these work, for statistics.
  17. I'm man enough to admit when I was wrong.
  18. I want the Packers to be successful. Crossing their arms out of spite to win an argument and in the process giving up a bunch of top round picks just seems childish.
  19. It's not crippling to the Packers to not trade him, but it would be dumb to not get assets back for him if he absolutely doesn't want to play for the Packers. If they can get 2-3 firsts and a couple of players now, thumbing their nose at him and saying "retire or play for us" is just dumb.
  20. Pujols has 5 RBI in 20 PA for Dodgers He has a .599 OPS.
  21. Giannis has 11 points on 5 of 11 shooting. Last year we would have absolutely lost this game as he just continued to try to hammer the ball into the paint over and over again.
