  1. THERE's the Brewers we know and love! Men on the corners with one out, and we totally fail to make contact of any kind! I'm not saying that there's a big difference between 10-4 and 10-5, but I think getting one more run in that inning would have been a pretty big boost, at least IMO.
  2. Ok Russ, there IS such a thing as "shortening your stroke". Yeah yeah, asking Russ to shorten his stroke is not going to happen, but still.........
  3. Aww crap. Now Scott is going to fly out to the warning track 30 times in the next 2 weeks! Hey! Let's get a few more!
  4. Did SUtton just say "as the Brewers pull a little closer in this game?" Uh.........when I get on an airplane, I'm a little closer to the sun, but it's all relative Darron. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  5. Billy Hall! That guy sucks! Hey, we have something to cheer about at least, right?!? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. I'm hoping that after the Brewers bat, it pours like hell, the game is called after 5 innings, and this will be like a forgotten dream.
  7. Ok, I know we got the out at home, but why, in an EIGHT TO NOTHING GAME is Ned playing the infield in?!?
  8. 2 more runs and this one is over........... oh wait, that's softball. What the HECK happened to our pitching in the 2nd half? ANY ideas?
  9. No, we're getting no-hit again. What's the over/under on what inning we'll get our first hit tonight? Last night it was the 7th.
  10. Ok, this guy had a .335/.435/.770 line last year........who is he? Chad Moeller. I know it was in Arizona, and the BOB is a hitters park, but is it worth .200 points of OPS better than Miller Park? I can't imagine that it is.
  11. And Moeller strikes out, missing the last pitch by a foot.......or so. Is Clement really THAT good? Nah, we're just that bad. I wonder how long we'll be no-hit for tonight?
  12. I would NEVER.......EVER condone hitting a batter for pounding the ball against my team, but I gotta tell ya, I've about seen enough of Derek Lee over the last month to last a life time. And to get to the point, IF Derek was plunked later in the game, I wouldn't be able to keep myself from smiling............ At least on the inside..........a little.
  13. Jesus Horatio Criminey. I hate Derek Lee.
  14. Obie warming up! We're saved!
  15. And Capuano is getting rocked all over Northside City Dump......err....I mean, Wrigley Field. aaaaaaaaaand a hit batter. Wow, Caps has been *not good* lately, and I mean not good at all. I need some novacaine, because this is approaching 2002 levels of pain.
  16. Oh don't get me wrong Bill, I really do like Russ! I just had to point out that was an UGLY strike out, eh? And I too have noticed that he strikes out swinging at *strikes*. I guess it's really little solace, when you're sitting on the bench, and you have one fewer out to play with, but I HAVE noticed that.
  17. Dang, Russel missed strike 3 by about a foot and a half. Here's a tip, I know I'm not a pro batting coach, but don't close your eyes when you're swinging!
  18. Thank God Alou hit a homer there, and not a double, because we know those are way better than homeruns.
  19. Hey! Yost has the guy with the .290-ish OBP batting 7th! About time Nedly!
  20. Are we going to WANT Kolb as our closer next year? Are we going to want VIZ as our closer next year? Do we want ANYONE from this bullpen (Besides Adams) to make the team next year?
  21. Powell really said that?!? Jim, for shame!
  22. but I'm afraid his trade value will never have been higher than it was earlier this season. And Melvin kept him to (sigh) try to finish .500. Sal Bando, anyone? I'm all for "chasing" that 81st win, but in the case of Danny Kolb, it's clear (at least IMO) that he SHOULD have been dealt poste haste, given his past, his age, and the salary he'll be commanding this off season.
