  1. If I weren't so skittish about copyright infringment, i'd love to get a "BOTTALICA" shirt, in the Metallica font. Lol, because Metallica has NEVER gone after someone using their stuff for free, right? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  2. He still hasn't thrown a breaking ball. How in the world can a Major League organization allow a prized young pitcher to remain in a game after injuring his elbow to the point where he can't throw a breaking pitch? It's the Cubs. 'Nuff said.
  3. With all the new memberships, the threads are getting huge. Batman, our marathon efforts on the Crew/Angels game from last year have been put to shame already, and I'm sure it's going to continue to happen throughout the year.
  4. Every spring you have a plethora of people who are drawing conclusions on 2 innings for a pitcher, or 9 at bats for a hitter. It might be wrong, but it's always that way, and I imagine it always will be. Too bad Jose Fernandez doesn't stick out in people's minds more. THat would prove how truly WORTHLESS spring training statistics really are.
  5. Weeks has too much power for leadoff. He's probably a good #3 hitter, IMO. Rickey Henderson had too much power for leadoff too.
  6. Brad Nelson sure doesn't look like a baseball player Matt Stairs dosn't either, and if Nelson hits like him, I'll be happy.
  7. So are links currently blue? Because if they are, I'm barely able to differentiate between blue and regular black text, and my monitor is gargantuan. Oh, the underline, IMO, was very distracting. I actually thought there was something wrong with my computer til I checked this thread.
  8. I'm sure this is something that I have wrong in my account preferences, but I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated. I log in when I sign onto BF, and can cruise the site as long as I want, but if I sign off and come back on, I'm logged out again. Not a REAL big deal, just curious if there's an easy fix.
  9. Nice play by Jenks.. Way to leave him in there a batter too long Ned.
  10. Yeah, set the sarcasm meter on high, or else just go read the "Keith Ginter is back" thread, to see my true thoughts on Ginter.
  11. What you guys don't realize about Keith is that if he had played every day all year the other teams would have picked up on his weaknesses (and we know that big league pitchers NEVER make mistake pitches) and Keith would suck hardcore. He's really only suited to be a backup. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif If Keith had 500 ABs right now, he'd be hitting .225 with 9 homers. It's true, it's true.
  12. I'm starting to wonder less about Kolb's arby number and more about whether or not we non-tender him. Ok, kidding aside, the sting is really being felt from not trading him around the ASB. Poor poor decision there. And yeah, hindsight is 20-20
  13. right now there's no doubt in my mind that the bullpen will blow this game. I hope I'm wrong.
  14. Oh man, I only wanted them to score ONE run. sad face. We suck.
  15. I don't know if I'm just mentally ill, or what, but I am almost wishing the D'Backs would score one and keep this thing going. I'm being entertained. I need help.
  16. Sutton actually made me laugh out loud! "You too can spend a week with players from the worst team in Brewers history!" He said '02, and meant '82, for those not listening, when referring to fantasy camp.
  17. That Ginter kid can hit the ball a little bit
  18. Wow, a AAA lineup and Kolb can't close it out. That arby number just keeps dropping though............
  19. Great way to end an inning guys. Yeesh
  20. Can we please trade him to someone who loves steals I said the same thing in the trade rumors forum. There ARE teams who grossly overvalue the stolen base as a viable offensive weapon. Let THEM deal with his .242 batting average.
  21. What a horrendously poorly played game so far. Has a single ball been fielded cleanly?
  22. Bottom of the order making it happen. Lyle, Geoff, Russ, hope you guys are watching this.........
  23. Kolb is getting very Wickman-esque, with having to make these more interesting than they have to be.
  24. Your 2004 Milwaukee Brewers......... Snatching defeat from the Jaws of Victory!
  25. Hector Luna hits a deep fly ball to left center, Krynzel dropped back to the track, timed his jump, and snagged the ball a good 8 inches over the top of the fence. VERY nicely done.
