  1. Hey! 7 innings of ONE HIT BALL. Ben needs to forget about it and BUCKLE DOWN and keep going strong here. NOT time to hang the head. NOTHING he could do against Vlad.
  2. Toby. No, really, the alarm clock is set for 4:20, purely by coincidence. I know it sounds funny though!
  3. But David, what if I am responsible for said global warming? See...there's a trickle down effect in motion here. Where will it stop?
  4. We might not see a run til around the 15th inning the way these offenses are going. And I gotta get up at 4:20 in the morning, so lets please not play any more extra inning west coast games.
  5. I made a statement to Bill. I thought it was OBVIOUS it was a joke. I'm not the one that keeps bringing it up. Wow. You're the one that took offense that "not everyone that doesn't have 1,000 posts here isn't a diehard." Can we drop this now?
  6. Maybe I'll change user names and start over at 0 posts so I'm not considered one of the jaded, stubborn, old schoolers.
  7. And I said it was A JOKE. I WAS KIDDING. Lighten up!
  8. Bill, I think "hit" in this case is a relative term, wouldn't you agree? I remember when I had to explain to my young son that a "HIT" was not recorded every time a batter put a ball in play, rather a hit was only when said struck ball resulted in the batter safely reaching base. Maybe we can petition for them to change that rule for the Brewers.
  9. It was just a joke. Ya know, sarcasm?
  10. Spivey was asleep that whole sequence. Didn't bust ass out of the box, then gets picked off. He must be devastated. Looks like you and I are the only ones with the stomach for this game Bill.
  11. Good lord. a ball off the base of the wall for a SINGLE. I know the guy has an arm, but....... EDIT: GOOD LORD THIS IS PATHETIC. Spivey, you might as well have tried for 2nd.
  12. Am I the only person with a secret desire to see Mondesi get a heater in the ear hole?
  13. How bad has it gotten when with men on 2nd and 3rd with no out we ASSUME that they WONT score?!? This offense has reached ludicrous levels of sucktitude.
  14. Nice rap by Liefer. Let's get a couple here.
  15. Coming from a longtime golfer, I'll give a mulligan on that shot! I take 'em all the time myself. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif I do agree that in baseball moreso than other sports, bad teams can beat the good ones on a given day. GO SHEETS! GO OFFENSE! FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! GO OFFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. The Angels have a lot better players than Milwaukee.....but the Brewers have a better team. ahhhhhh...........HUH? The Angels are in 1st, the Brewers are in 5th. They have better players, hence they ARE a BETTER team than the Brewers.
  17. Yeah, but can he also hit bombs after finishing his second pack of Marlboros? And does he look like a plumber who only plays ball on Sunday nights at Community Park?
  18. Thorpe was an outfielder. I believe he played for the Reds, but I may very well be mistaken.
  19. Ugly loss, to say the least. The guys didn't look "in the game" today at all. Maybe no BP wasn't a good idea. That first inning was nothing but a tease.
  20. Lineups www.sportsline.com/mlb/ga...606_MIL@SD Liefer getting the nod in rightfield today.
  21. Eaton's another guy we SHOULD be able to knock around, but I have my doubts. We made Valdez look like Greg Maddux yesterday (or Tim Hudson, if you please, Bill http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif ) This win is important today. Win today means one win in Anaheim will send us back to Milwaukee over .500.
  22. Noooooooooo kidding. That was a wasted 2 1/2 hours, to say the least. At least the Brewers kept it short by going down in less than 100 pitches.
  23. "At least it's not an HP" Yeah, no kidding. That's what I'm on now, and I can't share my true feelings about its performance, or I'd be banned from Brewerfan for language violations. Dude, I'm gettin' a Dell. To stay on topic, I REALLY would like to see some runs tonight. From the Brewers. O-FENCE O-FENCE O-FENCE O-FENCE
  24. You need a "real" computer Bill. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
