  1. GONE! AGAIN! I COULD GET USED TO THIS!
  2. I see the Dodgers fans' hero Bradley is in the lineup tonight. I don't know what was more embarrasing. His tirade, or the standing O he got for behaving with all the reserve of an angry 3 year old child. Oh, this game is going to be a treat to watch!
  3. Kolb shuts the door with no nonsense tonight! Back to 2 games over! WHOO HOO!
  4. EDIT: Because they didn't mention it, I missed the Dbl switch. I thought they were PHing Clark for Kiesch......Yeesh.
  5. I saw that too scoop. If Bennet's hitting 102, we need to figure out what he drank before the game! And yeah, this game MIGHT (stress: maybe) be what our offense needs to get it rolling a bit.
  6. Who WOULD defend the thought of trading for him?!? I WAS one of the people that thought a change of scenery, ya know...... HOWEVER. Bill, I gotta agree, he looked like he was EXTREMELY close to the point of physically assaulting someone. No joke, friends, the guy very well may severely injure someone with a bat or some other means if he can't keep his emotions checked.
  7. WOW. That guy is dangerous. I was for going after him, but I had never WITNESSED the way the guy acted on the field. This is unreal. The guy is totally unhinged, and is a danger to the umps, his opponents, and everyone. He should be suspended by the Dodgers til he can figure out how to keep his cool.
  8. I have a bad feeling about the bottom of the 6th here. Doug's tank has got to be running low. I hope that feeling is wrong. Could just be gas........
  9. Man on 2nd, no one out, with the 2-3-4 hitters coming up. Left him on 2nd Sigh.
  10. SCOTTY! That sure was a lazy looking swing. Ball must be carrying well tonight in Chavez!
  11. The question is, WILL one of his hot streaks make up for almost 1/3rd of a season of sucktitude? It seems to me that Jenk's hot streaks tend to mask the fact that a good majority of the time over the course of every season he's pretty much average or slightly below. I'm starting to think I'd much rather have a guy who's not SOOOO streaky. A guy who hits .280 every week with 2 homers, rather than a guy who goes 4 weeks hitting .250 without a homer and then goes on a week long tear where he hits .420 with 6 homers. Yeah, I know supposedly at the end of the year .280 with 35 homers means the same regardless of how he got it, but at this point I almost have to wonder.
  12. From what I've seen in person, I have to 100% agree with Madbad. Heether's definately turned a corner, and *might* actually be pushing himself into "prospect" consideration. Oh, and to add onto what madbad said, these games are all about development, but that doesn't mean us "minor league fans" don't want to see wins from our team, and I'm sure the players want to win just as bad as if the uniform said "Milwaukee" on it instead of "Beloit".
  13. Thoughts: Defense is important enough to at least consider, as this game (Craig Counsell, Keith Ginter) proved. I know we've had a ton of discussions about moving guys out of position to get bats in the lineup......... Wes O is "ok" for now. I'll take "ok" from our 5th starter. Over his last 2 starts (12 innings), he's allowed 4 runs. Insert small sample comment..........here. Our offense is pathetic right now. 4 hits? Somehow we're winning these games, but how long can they keep it up? San Diego gave this away. We were talking the other night about wasted opportunities and such, and that's how SD has to feel after this one. Total GIFT. Question. Does that mean the Brewers are turning the corner to being a "good" team? GOOD teams take advantage of games like this, and win when they shouldn't. Just a thought, but we're 3 games over, even though we're struggling mightily to score runs.
  14. Thoughts: Dave is right, the lack of SLG is killing our offense right now. Swinging on 3-0 when you're the tying run in the 9th inning is a "good thing"? Schroeder, you prove over and over what a buffoon you are. Overbay isn't that good on defense. After watching him for 1/4th of the season, I am really not impressed. (I'll cope, as long as he keeps hitting .350 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif ) I understand Pods needing a day off, but Brady Clark is NOT a guy who should be starting..........ever. I was under the impression that Grieve could not drive in runs? Luis Vizcaino blows.
  15. I read somewhere that it is the umpires job to prepare 72 balls for each game. I'm sure they do go over sometimes of course, but that's how many they go through, on average.
  16. Lost in all the hubbub is another decent Kinney outing from the pen. Keep the guy out there NED! He's not a starter, but he's seemingly an ok reliever.
  17. Well, the Crew didn't want to win, but the Dodgers wanted to win even less! Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good I guess. All counts the same in the standings.
  18. They have been making a SUPREME effort to NOT win the last 2 nights. Un-)*(@&^%$#&( -believable.
  19. Offense = scuffling. We need some POP in this order, and we just don't have it. Helms would help, if he was playing, and if he had more than 2 homers in 120 at bats.
  20. Ned is starting to gain a Lopester-esque stature in my eyes as a guy who manages away wins. I KNOW, I KNOW, he should be manager of the year, blah blah blah, but some of his decisions are just downright...........puzzling.
  21. That might be the understatement of the year Brian.
  22. Clark is a putrid 2 out of 7 stealing. I think we've reached a point of diminishing returns with him trying to steal.
  23. Bill, I wonder about that sometimes myself. And it wasn't THAT offensive. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  24. Our chances of winning this game just slipped down to somewhere around 1/2 of 1/2 of 1/2 %.
  25. Make LA burn their lefty at least before you put in Durrington Exactly. Now, if the inning gets to Jenkins, HE'LL be the one to face the lefty, which is exactly what we DONT want.
