  1. Oh kick Black out of the game already. My cousin did... Black, Colbert ejected amid confusion By the way, contrary to what the annoucers claim, Black WAS the one who made the mistake.
  2. Well there's a break. Take advantage of that guys.
  3. Oh crap. Com'on Sheeter...how about a nice work yourself out of jam, just like Sabathia did last night. Edit: Well, I guess it only works once per game.
  4. J hart - 9 pitches, just as requested. nice call... how bout you now ask for a nice 5-run inning here? I guess I'm going have to stop off and buy a couple lottery tickets on my way home tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. Well, at least Peavy is around 100 pitches already. Maybe they can knock him out next inning. Sheeter...how about a nice 9 pitch inning here.
  6. Well just found out my cousin will be doing the Brewers-Dodgers series over the weekend. Wish I could fly out there for it, but no chance. Then he'll be in Chicago next week for the Reds-Cubs, Tuesday thru Thursday. Might try to go to one of those games, but he said tickets will be hard to come by.
  7. Regular DTV? Should be on 669. It was on my channel guide, I'm taping it.
  8. Just following up... I adjusted my dish last night, so now my signal strength is much better. I had several transponders registering below 60 signal strength, now nothing is below 80. We'll see if this fixes my "rain showers" problem. Also, I have to say, I actually had a pretty good customer service experience today. I have an old R-10 w/TiVo. I see DirecTV has a deal right now for certain customers to upgrade their equipment for free. So I'm thinking of getting an R22 box, for the larger DVR space and access to their OnDemand stuff. Even thou I will loose some very cool TiVo features. So I email my questions and received a very good, well informed, explanation for a change. On top of that, they offered me FREE Showtime for the next 3 months. So...maybe DirecTV isn't all that bad.
  9. Why would you play Hall over Counsell against RHP?
  10. Complete the sweep today boys. GO CREW!!!
  11. Didn't know where else to put this... I think I have a theory for the "Counsell starting at 3B" deal. The pitching has been more than stellar in August. Team ERA is under 2.00 and team WHIP is under 1.00. They just want Counsell's defense in the game and don't care about his offense right now. As far as why he's batting 6th, besides the sarcastic "because he's playing 3B" reasoning...Cameron seems to be comfortable in the 7 spot and Kendall in the 8 spot, why mess with that?
  12. Agreed. Adding a third division and the wild card in each league has done wonders for the game. That alone has been a great addition since he's been "in office".
  13. I read those things. SOME of those people that post are complete idiots and deserve a beat down. I don't like the JS either. Never buy the thing. About the only thing it's good for would be lining the inside of a bird cage, and since I don't like pets in my house, I have no use for the JS.
  14. I wouldn't worry too much about 114 pitches. The guy is 6'7", 300 pounds. That's a grown ass man out there. He can handle it.
  15. There's a decent shot that it won't happen during game #162. Huh? Are you saying a playoff spot won't be secured 'till game 162? Or that it might take a one game playoff after that to get to the post season? The GOAL for the players I'm sure is the WS. For me, I'm expecting playoffs, I would be fine with only winning a NLDS and very, very happy if they win the pennant. And a WS win, well that goes without saying...
  16. I didn't get to post this last night, but what's up with San Diego's outfield? On that second ball out to center last night, when Cam had to come running in on it, he was taking some pretty big divots. I don't think I've seen that before. Did they just have a bunch of rain recently out there? Is their outfield similar to the greens in golf? Maybe Cam just had on the long cleats last night. Anyone know?
  17. Since Gywnn is involved in this discussion, does any believe he plays better defense than Cameron? I don't. Cameron's experience alone, puts him head and shoulders above TGJ in my book, not to mention Cam's gold gloves sitting in his closet. I hope they trade TGJ to San Diego in the offseason.
  18. That was just a quote from a TV show called "The Office". I saw Wikipedia and couldn't resist. Plus I watched a couple episodes last night. With the Crew playing really well and the Favre thing finally over with, I'm just in one of those really good moods right now.
  19. Rivera has played 1B this year. I'm fine with him over there in a pinch. If things would get really desperate, I suppose you could throw Hart over there to finish a game, then bring someone up for the next game.
  20. "Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Seriously thou, yeah it was nice seeing Yo-yo in the dugout last night. Maybe he will be able to help some down the sretch.
  21. Wow. Could have a three game swing in the standings, hey? I'm pretty confident the Brewer machine will crank out another W. GO BRAVES!! How about helping out your former home today?
  22. YES!!! And the Brewer machine keeps right on rollin'...
  23. SOUP!!! Nice outing tonight buddy. Very strong starting pitching lately. Man, this must be what it was like to be a Braves fan in the 90s.
  24. Yes, I know a sweep is asking a bit much. But I want it dam it!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  25. Need Soup to pitch well tonight. With Sabathia and Sheets going in the next two, in that pitchers park, I expect both of them to come out with W's. Anything but a sweep against the terrible Padres would be a losing series in my book. Keep the Brewer machine rolling tonight, boys. GO CREW!!! And, I'm always positive about the Brewers. Way too positive sometimes, I'll admit it, but I can live with that.
