  1. Yup. Bottom of the eighth... yeah, it might be time to play for a run.
  2. How many did the Crew miss today? Three? Four?
  3. shelmark Obie had already gone two innings, was most of the way through the order.
  4. heeptom A few. Well, the Crew's in a feast-or-famine mode at this point. Some of it has been just bad luck. Four homers have been taken away from our guys in the past two games. Hot dog won one. Italian 2 Hot Dog 1 Polish & Brat 0
  5. Well, drive it THAT hard often enough... and soon you get lucky.
  6. The Pirates got help on that one. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  7. Brady found a way through... double. Junior... get him in.
  8. ANOTHER homer stolen! Good grief... EDIT: Four stolen homers in two games.
  9. deeswan Well, he told people about the problem. Neugy hid it, and never could come back. Jones has a chance because he was honest about it.
  10. WHEW. Now, the offense has to give Cappy some help here.
  11. I wonder if the umpire is squeezing Cappy today. Wouldn't be surprised...
  12. Turning the DP is a huge problem here. What the HECK is going on with the infielders?
  13. homer Maybe, but with the trouble they've had with the grass surface, I think turf is a better option at this point.
  14. No, but to be honest, I can see why they decided to go with JJ at short.
  15. Can't turn the DP. What is going WRONG here? This is a pattern. If Spivey was going to have these problems, why not deal him and just put Rickie Weeks in? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  16. And ANOTHER DP opportunity not converted. UGH.
  17. Move it in 30 feet on the right field side at least (for Branyan and Fielder). Go for a pronounced asymmetrical look, put down some aritficial turf for the gap-hitters to really benefit as well from a ball that will move faster and bounce higher. EDIT: Nothing seems to be dropping in today. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  18. Add Carlos Lee to the list of those with long, loud outs.
  19. Agreed. How many times have Brewers hitters just hammered the ball, but right at a fielder? Several, including that Sunday game against the Cubs, and yesterday's three near-misses.
  20. If Turnbow and Phelps keep getting lit up, and Capellan or Hendrickson do well, the Crew could always slide Glover to the bullpen. I think the Crew just got unlucky. Some hit-and-run plays went bad, at least three extra-base hits taken away and turned into outs... These kinda games happen over a 162-game season.
  21. DHonks It was an understandable call - a reasonable risk at the time. Spivey just didn't execute. Even if he had put the ball down, Brady is on second, and then you do a hit-and-run.
