  1. With Vizcaino and Kolb having pitched the last two days, do the Brewers put Wise and/or Burba in after six and hope one or the other can go three?
  2. rluzinski He didn't close the deal by getting the out.
  3. K. Darn. Tied up. Oh, and Cappy, next time you get `em to an 0-2 count, FINISH THEM!
  4. Okay folks, that last half-inning (top of the 4th) is a problem I've seen time and time again with the team, but Cappy's performance is an example. Cappy had Winn and Cabrera ont he ropes at 0-2, but he couldn't close the deal. He gave up back-to-back extra-base hits... LESSON HERE: When they're on the ropes, FINISH THEM OFF! If you don't it will come back to bite you. BTW, Overbay streak at 14. EDIT: The Mariners WANT to face Capuano, after that last AB?
  5. Ugh... twice Cappy gets an 0-2 count, and he can't close the deal. Now the Crew's down 2-1. EDIT: And then an E-6.
  6. Well, it won't be a no-hitter... Can't accuse me of jinxing it this time.
  7. Only a ground rule double that time... but that's still upping the OBP. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. RoCoBrewfan The thing is... I've been to minor league games, and I just can't tell what a pitcher does that leads to a balk... Unless the definition of balk is "really filthy pickoff move."
  9. RoCoBrewfan What was that move Doug pulled? And did the ump call it a balk?
  10. Two out of three? And maybe the Crew gets lucky off Oswalt?
  11. Where will he start pitching? Beloit? Helena?
  12. Since this is Scotty's best offensive since June 1st... I'm posting a pic of who saw that performance... I'm going to hope she was rooting for the Brewers. If not, I'll do my best to convince her. http://eur.i1.yimg.com/eur.yimg.com/i/eu/mu/he/jenni8.jpg
  13. And tomorrow, the Crew goes for the SWEEP!!!
  14. Podsendik with three hits, Brady Clark with four, Bill Hall with three RBI (put him in right field, Ned!)... I think the offense just woke up... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif And Victor Santos did okay - must not have had his best stuff, but he really only made one mistake - and that other run reall wasn't earned.
  15. We need SLUMPBUSTERS for this club. ASAP!
  16. Jenkins with another K... Could be worse, folks. The Brewers could have NOT made the Sexson deal, and then Richie'd be out for the season, and there would be no Overbay and Spivey to at least play most of the time...
  17. OUCH!! Well, he'll get the perfecto next time. Is it just me, or is the ball just not finding holes for guys like Scotty Podsednik?
  18. Sollman is insurance in case Weeks has to move to the OF or 3B.
  19. Cap'n Lou, you have competition. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  20. Outfielder or third baseman, I hope... The Crew could use help there REAL bad.
  21. igor67 I agree. I think they key with Hendrickson will be developing a change-up, much as it was with Ben Sheets. Capuano's minor nicks and dings are a concern, but if he's healthy, he'll be okay. And how about Victor Santos as a nice surprise in the rotation? At this point, the concern is the offense. I think another shuffling is due. It may be time to move Grieve and Counsell for usable parts as well. Grieve's bat is back, but he is a DH. Counsell's blocking Bill Hall, and the Crew needs Hall's bat, which is much better than Counsell's.
  22. Perhaps Hendrickson needs to develop a good change-up. Sheets seems to have his change-up, and that made him a better pitcher than when he just had a fastball-curveball mix. Saenz seems to have nastier stuff, but Ben's problems may have been as much due to defense (Grieve in particular). Grieve is a DH, and the Crew needs to find an AL team in need of one ASAP. Maybe they have an OF blocked in the system, or it allows Ginter to play left full-time so Jenkins can play right, but Ben Grieve's defense is pretty bad, folks, and I don't think it helped Hendrickson's confidence on the mound.
  23. But Bennett ends the inning... Sheesh... can't Moeller play most of the time - at least Chad isn't an automatic out!
