  1. C'mon... do the Brewers not know how to throw a simple brushback pitch?
  2. gfwisco Amen to that. Of course, these days, the umps will toss a pitcher who DOES respond. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif shelmark Why should the Crew let another team push them around? They can't let other teams intimidate them. That's asking for trouble later on.
  3. shelmark The Brewers are going to be playing the Astros this weekend. Clemens ain't gonna to hesitate to throw at our guys - it sends the wrong message if there isn't at least one brushback in response.
  4. No dusty butt in the bottom of the seventh... What ever happened to protecting your guys? Where's the $@*!@#! brushback to return the favor?
  5. I edited the earlier post, but I'll repeat here: Grieve is batting ninth (Capuano's old spot), and is due up second in the top of the eighth. Burba is batting seventh, in Brady Clark's old spot. Ned's going to try to run up the score. -- Now, seeing as the Cards have plunked TWO Brewers, it is WAY PAST TIME for the Brewers to return the favor. EDIT: I think LaRussa's put McKay in... BATTING PRACTICE!
  6. Probably a double-switch to pull Capuano, who's thrown 96 pitches. EDIT: Yep. Dave Burba in for Capuano and batting in Brady Clark's 7 spot, with Ben Grieve taking over in right, and batting 9th (he is due up second in the top of the 8th). Ned's trying to run up the score.
  7. ALL of the Brewers starting nine have at least one hit. 11-4.
  8. Will SOMEONE on the Brewers pitching staff DO something so that the Cardinal pitchers will NOT get the impression that they can throw at Brewers hitters with impunity?
  9. One thing for sure, the Cardinal pitching staff has been tagged pretty hard this whole series. The outfield defense would not be a factor if they had kept the Brewers from getting very solid contact. But it's not working out that way for them, is it? *insert evil grin* EDIT: Yet ANOTHER hit for Podsednik. FOUR HITS!
  10. And an error by Taguchi... EDIT: Moeller got ripped off, that was TWO RBI. But it's nice to see Capuano's only charged with ONE earned run out of the four.
  11. Moeller with a two-run single - to second on the error. Capuano up. EDIT: Ray King in... LOOGY?
  12. PETA will probably be outside Miller Park tomorrow, protesting abuse of the Cardinals at the hands of the Brewers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif EDIT: Simontacchi goes to 3-0 on Ginter... Following the Crew is getting to be a lot of fun. EDIT 2: Simontacchi walks Ginter. Can't say I blame him.
  13. Probably rushed the throw to get the lead runner... -- They're calling all three runs earned. What bullcrap. None of `em were. If the force is made, and Edmonds Ks, inning OVER. EDIT: Okay, maybe we'll give Junior a mulligan... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif
  14. Can't blame Capuano for that homer. No error, the inning is over after Edmonds whiffs...
  15. Dunno - Brady Clark might have room to debate that. And then Bill Hall will also want to start... the whole thing could snowball.
  16. endaround So, who starts in right field, Brady or Keith? EDIT: Moeller hit by the pitch. Capuano had BETTER retaliate, or teams will feel free to go inside on us. EDIT 2: Who says the Crew can't get hits off a reliever?
  17. Gee, maybe the Crew is gonna cream ANYBODY today... Tony LaRussa's gotta be feeling low...
  18. I think LaRussa's gonna pull Suppan before anything else happens... CRAP! EDIT: LaRussa DID pull Suppan. He's no fun... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif C'mon, Tony, take your butt-kicking. It's the Crew's year...
  19. While hitting a bunch of them off Suppan... Did someone forget to tell the Crew that spring training is over? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Not that I'm complaining...
  20. Capuano recovered well from walking Pujols and Rolen to start the 4th. Or was it planned that way from the start?
  21. First, I did not quote, I paraphrased. Second, the Crew is up 4-1, and so far, Capuano's doing okay. Why not just enjoy the game?
  22. bork I refuse to believe that mentioning a pitcher is perfect has any correlation to whether or not a batter on the opposing team gets a hit, much less a home run.
  23. squarepusher Agreed. Nice work by Ginter, getting on in both plate appearances so far...
  24. bork Do you REALLY believe in that superstition?
