  1. I will be returning to this thread tonight after a long night of playing washers and drinking at Jo-Cats Hey Luke, I don't get out to the bars much anymore so excuse my ignorance here, but what is "playing washers"?
  2. Two of the best things in the world rolled into one ball of fun: 1.Cubs lose 2. Brewers win
  3. Brew Crew outscored the Packers today, 4-3.
  4. Madison's channel 3 sacrificed a whole 10 seconds of its sportscast Wow! Twice as much as usual!!
  5. Hardy with his 3rd base hit of the game.
  6. Moeller gets in on the act with a HR!
  7. Yeah. I'm german and I like sauerkraut and can't dance, but I don't want other poeple to automatically ASSUME it It doesn't help that you wear lederhosen.
  8. Man, what a demoralizing day. This always seems to be the case when we draw big crowds.
  9. Fear not, Brewer fans. If Smoltz outpitches us as is predicted, let's hope it's a close game so Chris Reitsma can come in and blow the save. He has blown a save in 2 of Smoltz's last 3 outings (8/10 & 8/16). So Smoltz has had a little hard luck lately, here's to piling it on GP style.
  10. I don't love the Packers. Imagine my thoughts right now.
  11. Nice to see TBS just went black here in Madison on DirecTV.
  12. Atlanta Milwaukee ------- --------- Pos Player HR RBI AVG. A little showcase prior to the final trade deadline? edit: pretty lineups --ja002h
  13. I love how all these weekend night games aren't on TV thanks to the preseason Packer games. Great. I wouldn't watch a regular season Packer game over the Brewers and now we get screwed by the equivalent of JV pro football. I guess I'll stick to the radio and watch MLB Extra Innings games tonight.
  14. I'm hoping for the same lineup for the third game in a row.. I think it's the same except Moeller is catching today. Weeks Hart Overbay Lee Jenkins Hall Hardy Moeller Davis
  15. 33,000+ in the house tonight. I didn't know the c'mon back club was so popular. Just got back from the game. I guess the club is quite popular as most of the loge and a good portion of the upper deck were full. The only real empty spots were in the club level and down the lines on the 100 level. Highlight of the night was the buzz in the crowd when Prince popped out of the dugout for his PH appearance. Just nice to win an ugly game in front of a nice crowd.
  16. The Brewers look to take game 2 of the series tonight at Miller Park against red-hot AJ Burnett. Hopefully the momentum of last night's 11-2 victory will carry over into tonight for the Crew. I started this thread early because I'll be down with a group of 8 friends today. We're hitting the track in Kenosha this afternoon and then on to tailgating. If anybody goes tonight we'll be parked at the front of the Bluemound lot. I can't imagine there will be many big groups on a Wed. night so keep an eye open for us. We shouldn't be hard to spot. Go Crew!! edit: put date in subject -ja002h
  17. GP- For the most part, the guys are "light" gamblers and just go for the fun of the event. A couple of us though will throw some money around looking to hit big. Our biggest gambler can't make it this year which is a shame because he's rather fun to watch twist in the wind as the races are run. Three years ago he won $800. I'll usually play about $6-10 a race. Nothing major but enough to have a few shots at winning. We only stay for 8-9 races because we like to hit the parking lot when it opens. I know I'm talking a lot of gambling here in the drunk thread but trust me, this belongs here. It's a party.
  18. Ah yes, Cy Wright cruises thru the first.
  19. Hmmmmm, I dont know the matchups but I can only suspect one of these players.......Sheets or Clemens. He mentioned it was the most famous pitcher. That eliminates Sheets.
  20. Tonight's already looking like a good night. Wait til next Wed. when I'll be at the game with a group of 10. It's our annual trip where we go to Kenosha and gamble in the afternoon and then tailgate like madmen until first pitch.
  21. Is it bad karma to use a picture of Santos in which he just served up a HR to a Cub?
  22. Clark is still out tonight and the Branyan backers have more griping to do as Hall starts vs. RHP Ortiz. Sorry, I don't know how to "do" the lineups, but they're posted at USA Today. www.usatoday.com/sports/s...B24277.htm
  23. well, that was uninspiring The very words that were about to leave my fingertips. I'm glad this wasn't on TV. Oh well, now I know my evening will be stress free without having that to look forward to.
  24. Branyan at 3rd today.....it's official. www.usatoday.com/sports/s...B24235.htm Somebody else can put up the "pretty" lineups. There's your link above to the starting lineups.
