  1. Thanks everyone, we really appreciate it. Brett, so sorry to hear about your folks' dog. Hang in there... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  2. SKyles needs to be fired.
  3. MU's first tough Big East stretch begins tonight & Georgetown. They somehow need one of the next 2 (@GU & Syracuse)
  4. I hate having to do this again, but the next week or two is likely going to be very hard on myself and my family. For those who remember, I was the one with "Viggo" the cat from a few years ago. We had to put Viggo down almost 2 years ago and it was pretty devistating for our family. Since that time, we have gotten not only 2 new cats, but we also rescued a coonhound named Cleo. We got Cleo because our coonhound puppy needed a companion. In the summer of 2010, we rescued Cleo the black and tan coonhound. She was about 4 years old at the time, and the sweetest most gentle dog ever. She had a pretty rough life, but the last 19 months she has had pretty much the greatest life possible and we have become extremely attached to her. Well anyways, my wife took Cleo into her work today (an animal hospital), and Cleo may have lymphoma. It's either that or an infection, which obviously would be treatable. She started on antibiotics this morning, and we will have to wait a week to see if it was an infection or not. If it's not the infection we are hoping for, and it turns out to be lymphoma, then we will have to put her down. Just thinking about the possibility is pretty devistating. Not only would we lose another part of our family, but Gunnar's best friend. My wife says its a 50/50 shot its an infection, but with the way things have gone for us in the past with animals, I can't help think the worst. If you guys could keep Cleo and our family in your thoughts/prayers it would be much appreciated. When we went through rough times with Viggo, all of the kind words bf.net'ers shared really helped. Thanks - AJ http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/3f71569b8e4514bd7c80d6a919f86ce036a1ec5.pjpeg
  5. Brewers/Packers Duke/Marquette basketball UW football/Bucks UW basketball
  6. I think the biggest challenge for the Bucks this year is juggling the lineups throughout the game. With Jackson, Livingston, Dunleavy Jr, Delfino, Ersan, Gooden, Sanders, Leuer & Mbah a Moute (when he returns) all playing some of the 2-4 positions, that's a lot of guys to be subbing in and out, and it's hard to find those good combinations of players out on the floor. But on the other had, this is also what makes this "3rd Quarter Nightmare" thing so weird. There's no reason the Bucks should be going through lapses of 5+ minutes without field goals, because Skyles should be pulling guys out and putting in other guys to spark the team.
  7. Speaking of lame... I went to my aunt's house (I am 27) and played dominos with my parents, aunts, grandma and my grandma's sister. All of the old ladies dressed up in their best holiday themed pajamas. Yet I actually had a lot of fun.
  8. I only listened to / bought one album this year, which was very good. Jack's Mannequin - People and Things
  9. He's a great fit for their offense and they have been sending guys to the NBA. I dont think it is slight to Marquette just a question why a guy with that pedigree didnt go to UNC, Kentucky, etc. Marquette sends guys to the NBA as late first or second round picks whereas the other schools sends guys to the lottery. Marquette is a very good basketball school, those other schools are Final Four contenders almost every yeargotcha. I didn't equate "he can play" with him being a big time talent who should be recruited by KU, UNC, etc. To me, "he can play" means hes a pretty good player. And that's why I thought it was a dig. Anyways... GO MU!
  10. Not sure if this was your intention or not, but that appears to be a total rip on MU, and I don't really get it.
  11. yeah my mom tells me that at least once a month... and I'm almost 28
  12. exactly my thoughts
  13. This is my mom's response: "If a pt has a "couple of teeth with 4-5 mm depths" I do not understand why they are "injecting antibiotics into the gums? Sounds strange to me! FDG hygienists do SRP (scale, root planing) frequently - It is charged out per quadrant or 1-3 teeth. Also, why would a DDS tell an adult that sealants are recommended - another strange thing. Perhaps this guy should see the DDS that his wife currently sees! Please remember.....Floss only the teeth you wish to keep !!!!" I dont know if that helps or not, but I gave it a shot
  14. apparently, there is a rumor out there about a 3 way deal that would deal Bugot to orlando, d howard to LA and the Bucks would get Bynum. Yikes!
  15. My uncle owns a dental practice, and my mom, aunts and cousins all work there; some of them are hygienists. Do I qualify?
  16. So I anticipate having to replace my furnace one of these years. I plan on starting to get some free estimates from different places in the Milwaukee area. do any of you have any recommendations on who to look into (and who to avoid)??? Thanks!
  17. Official now per espn
  18. Any predictions on when the big Free Agents will be signed? Do the big big names like Pujols, Prince & Reyes sign somewhere this month? Next Month? What's normal for big free agent signings?
  19. I am on book #3 of "A Song of Ice & Fire" series by George RR Martin. The new HBO series Game of Thrones is based on these books. Highly recommend the series and the books
  20. http://i.imgur.com/NstnI.gif Check out Greinke's performances at home in the playoffs this year and let me know if it's a magical Greinke/Miller Park invulnerability bond that created those wins or just good hitting behind him. No offense, but those animations are not funny and pretty dumb. But I know all of ZG's stats at home. I know he's not a great pitcher there but the only thing that matters is the brewers record when he pitches at home vs on the road.
  21. yes, don't run your best available pitcher out there. Let's just sacrifice the game and count on winning two straight elimination games! On the road vs the Cardinals,I think narveson is the better pitcher. Combine that with greinke being the better option at home than marcum... So narveson/greinke gives up a better chance to win in 6 than greinke/marcum
  22. Thanks a lot RR. After the Brewers lose with Greinke on the road tonight, you wont even give our ace a chance to keep us alive. This should be narveson out there for this loss. The brewers have never lost a ZG home start, so u start him on the road.
