    Well I have 2 tickets to opening day, and plan on going. But if I could get enough money for them, I might reconsider... The seats are in 423, row 7. pretty darn good seats for the upper deck... How much would those be worth to you?

    Thanks for all of the info/stories! One more question I do have right now: How long will I have to go without wearing contacts before I can have the procedure done? Is it 2 weeks? 3 weeks? Before my consultation/exam after work today, I needed to wear my glasses for at least 3 days. I am trying to figure out how long I'll have to wait before being able to have the actual procedure done. Thanks

    Not to get too far off-topic, but the first "real" power rankings for 2008 i saw yesterday on foxsports.com they have the Brewers ranked 12th (if i can remember correctly), and 2 places ahead of the Cubs!

    well i do know that there are 0 known cases of blindness from Lasik surgury according to several sources I've read. also, the "odds" of something going wrong that will screw up your vision are <1%. Those are good enough odds for me. Also, for good measure, the initial patient satisfactory rate is between 92-98% this info puts me more at ease: "On October 10, 2006, WebMD reported that statistical analysis revealed that contact lens wear infection risk is greater than the infection risk from LASIK.[55] Daily contact lens wearers have a 1-in-100 chance of developing a serious, contact lens-related eye infection in 30 years of use, and a 1-in-2,000 chance of suffering significant vision loss as a result of infection. The researchers calculated the risk of significant vision loss consequence of LASIK surgery to be closer to 1-in-10,000 cases." Here's how I view the long term thing (and maybe it's being nieve): Lasik procedures using a laser have been around for over 15 years. If people who have gotten this procedure develop scarring or whatever after 20-30 years, it will only be 5-10 years after my surgury.     i actually haven't seen an advertisement from Lasik+, and I know it's not one of those $299 per eye places either, lol. Through my company-provided insurance, 15% of the cost will be covered if I go through Lasik+. I am assuming they will be a good choice since my company obviously backs them...

    Has anyone here ever had Lasik done from these guys? If so, as much info as you can provide about your experience, results, cost, etc would be greatly appreciated. Even if you have gotten it done from another company, I'd love to hear your reviews/opinions. I have an appt tomorrow, but it's more of an evaluation/exam to make sure i'm qualified. I had a similar evaluation a few years ago and was able to have to procedure, but never got it done. I'm really looking forward to not having to wear glasses/contacts every second of the day...

    OH MY GOSH. I hope you aren't a college basketball fan or this doesn't include sporting events, because there is no way I could miss the first 2 rounds of the NCAA tourney (March 20-23)

    Amy/Hurley- Here's my take on the rematch in March @ Cameron. Having Lawson Back will improve UNC in many ways. Not only is he better than Thomas when it comes to the actual stats, but he also makes their whole offense go and will give a huge boost to ellington and green. That said, UNC should get better production from Ellington, Green and the PG spot; but this wont mean UNC will necessarily score enough points to win. Getting better production from these players will most likely take away some production from "Psycho-T", and they wont have guys like Ginyard and Thompson taking all those shots and having career games. That said, having Lawson back will make the rematch a much better game, but taking away the UNC homecourt advantage from last night and giving Duke its homecourt advantage will even out the addition of Lawson, IMO. If Duke won last night against a Lawson-less UNC team at Cameron, then I think UNC would handle Duke no problem at the Dean Dome. But that was not the case. I obviously hope Duke wins in the first rematch game, but I always love seeing DUKE/UNC games that become "instant classics"

    I know what you are saying Rah, but he said he did it to benefit his son, who will be taking over as head coach. Letting his son coach the last 1/3 of the season gives him the best chance to return next year. So keeping that in mind, his timing doesn't bother me. I cant argue with a guy who does something unselfish to benefit a family member...

    I want to get people's thoughts on how big the first 3 games vs the Cubs really are to the Brewers this year. Looking at last year, the Brewers went 6-9 against the Cubs and were 2 games behind them at the end of the season. If the Brewers would have gone 8-7, they probably would have made the playoffs. I know the Crew literally would have had a better record if you give the brewers 2 more wins and the cubs 2 less wins, but noone can say for sure we would have gotten into the playoffs. Anyways, I firmly believe that the start of 2008 doesn't matter all that much and that getting off to a hot start doesn't = season long success (obviously)... but because we face the Cubs in the first series, is this series a must-win series? Just how crucial is winning the head to head season series with the Cubs to the Brewers Playoff chances?
