  1. Ya, there was just an article on brewers.com this week about all the preperations they're having to do for the postseason, even if they don't make it. Tickets are just a part of that.
  2. I've lost all respect for the Reds. What a classless organization!
  3. If all we needed was a base knock, you gotta go with Hart. Hands down.
  4. There's a difference between the fans and the players on the field.
  5. I don't have anything to back up that belief really, but I just don't get the feeling that the organization feels the same way about him that the fan base does. I think he's viewed as part of this whole ship that is trying to turn this around and we have no idea how the players feel about him. With the fact that you can chalk up a lot of our season to youth and bad bullpen collapses as well as Yost, I really think he'll be given another year.
  6. No, I'm positive I read somewhere that you don't have to send the tickets back.
  7. The fans doing the Chop didn't bother me in the same way Soriano and crew giggling in the outfield did.
  8. I think you need to brace yourself that even if we don't win another game, Ned probably keeps his job. Personally I'll be more surprised if he's gone.
  9. Ya, the few times I swapped over the WGN, I happened to catch a couple of Soriano's "hopping catches" and that. Made me regret taking at peek at WGN. I haven't watched many of the Cubs games in detail, is this Soriano hop a new development?
  10. Because its been said before that we give Ned credit for doing the right things too, I wanted to note that I was really happy to see him livid in his post game interview and sticking up for our guys today. I wasn't sure I would see that fire out of him, but he had it still.
  11. Cappy has had a rough year, but he's also pitched a good handful or more of great games that he didn't get the win on. His record shouldn't look as abysmall this year as it does.
  12. Hawing, I thought I read somewhere (maybe on the folder they sent??) that they would email a tracking number? I would have to think they'll be mailing this week though. bfishman - The prices for the NLDS don't seem bad. When I got my info, I ran the numbers, and they were only about $12 more per ticket than I had paid for my 20 pack, and those are in the lower level.
  13. I won the chance to get up to 4 tickets to 1 game of the NLDS. I'm curious how many people they selected, because you're not guaranteed tickets with this, just the opportunity. You have to buy them online Tuesday morning, so I'm curious how the servers are going to take that.
  14. When's the last time we've won 5 in a row? I don't think we've won 4 in a row since mid-July when we swept the Dbacks. A road sweep and 5 in a row maybe tonight? I might pass out. Correction: Last 4 in a row was July 14-17, 2 against the Rockies, 2 against the Dbacks. At least I had the timing right. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Last 5 in a row was June 18-23
  15. This thread seems the more approriate than starting a new thread, How glad are you we didn't win the Gagne race? It sure felt disappointing at the time, and who knows if things would have been different if he came to us, but he blew his 4th game as a Red Sox tonight.
  16. Sure it will be a big disappointment, but it has been a fun season, despite the prolonged down portions of the season. They've come to play in September and I'm impressed with that. I just hope the boo birds don't show up at the final game, no matter what happens.
  17. I'm with you twobrewers, I plan on giving a standing ovation at the final game, win or lose, playoffs or not. I hope the stadium sticks around and follows suit as well.
  18. It seems the Astros are quite the hope killer these last few weeks. The Cub fans seems as deflated after last night as many Crew fans did after that loss to the Astros.
  19. Soon to be 22-0 no doubt.
  20. Hail to your new God!
  21. I think we have to root for Arizona to pull out the West, because if we take the Central we'll almost no doubt take on whoever wins the West. And of the options, I'd take Arizona. Conversely, I'd most like to avoid the Mets in the first round.
  22. Also, did you report the ID stolen right away? Before you quit?
  23. Unless there was a stipulation in any contract you may have signed, I don't think they have any grounds to withhold a paycheck for that. I'd call the Department of Labor as well as the Postmaster General.
  24. Does anyone think they'll all want to keep playing together since they came up through the system together too? Not that we won't have to pay them well, but I think we have a pretty interesting situation that a lot of these guys could be pretty bonded after coming up together, and if we put together some winning years, some of these guys may be willing to stay a bit longer. I have no idea, its just a thought. Overall I think Braun will be the biggest stud of them all, and I think he's the most likely to go. I don't think Milwaukee will be a big enough market for him. Prince is becoming an icon in Wisconsin, and if that continues to grow, I think he might be interested in sticking around.
  25. Braun should be able to classify as a Super II in two years though right? So he should still be aribration eligble in a couple of years.
