  1. It feels a lot better to go into the road trip tied again and I'm glad to have that pesky half game gone. Thanks Ryan Dempster!

  3. I'm bringing my secret weapon to the game today, my wife. She seems to have some baseball luck on her side. She doesn't go often but this year she was at the Yankees game early in the year when Arod hit the walk off grand slam, and then followed it up in Baltimore a few days later with another game with a grand slam. Last year the only game she went to was Turnbow bobble head night, when she got an alternate jersey bobble, and the Crew came storming back in the 8th, only to have the game blown by Turnbow. I'm not pegging that one on her though. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  4. All is about to be right in the world! Welcom back woogie.
  5. Everyone knew we needed/wanted bullpen help down the stretch. Linebrick hasn't worked out the best, but asking why we needed him is a rather silly question.
  6. Ya, I've had cheese curds on the loge level and in the terrace once I believe. They exist, but they're not everywhere. For myself, I rarely get through a game without buying those roasted nuts. MMMmmmMMmmmm roasted nuts.
  7. You need to find a way to get your sister to help control her fears and her phobias, and then the issue of telling her how to raise her kid will solve itself.
  8. I just saw you responded to my previous post about this in the other thread, but since we're here now, honestly, I've never thought it to be that much more of a problem than about anywhere else. I've sat in 126 for a few years now and its not bothered me. Really the biggest time you get blocked is if the row in front of you, or maybe a couple, have to all stand up to let someone in. I suppose I could see how its a different perspective for you if you've been sitting in 118, but really, its not a major issue. Will you get some blocked pitches? Yes. But 20% is a really high number, its much lower. And like I said, during the season at least, it seems more people have understood to start waiting until in between batters and/or innings. I think you're overthinking it personally.
  9. He made an attempt to lay down a bunt for a hit yesterday. He didn't make contact with it, but he did have the intention.
  10. I got mine today as well. The prices are mostly good IMO, with the exception of the WS, but it is what it is. The price for the division series is only about $12 more per ticket than what I paid for my package tickets. And I would think they'll take caution with the delivery of the tickets, because they even state to treat them like cash. Hopefully they require a signature.
  11. Hey, don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to put anyone down in the least, I'm more jealous of how well it works for people actually.
  12. Wow, I didn't think people still did this. I used to do this all the time when I was a kid. I think I only ever got Ickey Woods back though.
  13. Sorry for reposting this from the in game thread, but really; We're 4-11 this month, outscored 112-55. Assuming the Cubs game finishes where it is now at 12-4, the Cubs are 5-10 this month and have been outscoured 91-74. Ugh. This was the chance we'd been waiting for against the Cubs, and we're playing way worse than them.
  14. Anyone want to make an offer besides 70?
  15. I'm going to probably looking to part with some of my remaining tickets for this year, due to an unfortunate turn of events. (And I don't mean the Brew Crew's struggles. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif) Anyway, I'm going to start by trying to part with my tickets for this weekend, and then decide if I want/need to move some more. I'm only interested in getting face value or close to it. So, I have; 2 tickets in Section 126, Row 14 1 preferred parking pass I'd like to get $70 for them all if I could. The tickets are normally $33 each, and preferred parking is $15, so you're saving $11. Let me know if you're interested and we can work out details about transferring everything. Thanks.
  16. Well I'm taking off for a vacation and a free sunburn in the Dominican Republic. I won't be able to easily see scores, so when I come back I fully expect to see you have cheered the Crew onto a 5+ game lead. Make it happen folks, and I'll check on your progress in a week.
  17. Nice work man! I'm surprised they let those costumes out into the bars. But all the same, I'd have done the same thing. And ya, Baseball Stars was responsible for the first time I ever stayed up all night. Good stuff. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. ESPN.com has a funny article and video on one guy's experience running as the Polish Sausage. Take a look. How to run your next sausage race
  19. hahaahaha, see, we ARE over thinking everything! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  20. Well for one, the Cubs situation was teammates throwing punches and spitting on each other. Vastly different. But I also don't think many people would argue that this looks good persay, or is something you want to be shown off, but I think people are hoping this is finally some sign that a fire can be light under these guys, because they haven't showed a lot of spark this year. Its more about hoping something positive can come of it than anything else.
  21. There were basically two clips, and ya, the first one Yost was really laying into Graffy, but the second Estrada was really laying into someone, supposedly Yost. And I agree, I don't want players coming out and spouting crap like some NBA and NFL players do, but its good to see a little spark sometimes too. You figure they're frustrated behind the scenes, but sometimes the fans need to see it too.
  22. Just to sum up all that we saw, FSN pretty much replayed what they caught in the postgame; It looked like Graffy and Yost were yelling at each other, with Yost being much more upset and being held back by Estrada and Sveum, then as Graffy walked away, Estrada started yelling at someone down the tunnel and Sheets and Graffy held him back. I'm not sure if Estrada was yelling at Yost or who. On one level I'm glad to see the frustration is there with them, because they have been putting up this "everything is fine, we're in first" attitude. It could be a cataylst, it could be a sign that they can't work things out. We'll have to wait to see I guess. As for if we'll ever know more than that, I doubt it, and I think it should stay a clubhouse issue anyway. I'm just going to cross my fingers that they can bleed it out and hit the reset button.
  23. I wonder though if that was on CBS's side. CBS didn't do a very good job with the HD broadcast in the tourneys. Why was it that they could only broadcast one game at a time in HD? It was really annoying to be watching a game in HD, and then it would swap to standard because CBS decided some other game was more important.
  24. I watch it, but with less frequency these days. I tend to agree that its a bit repeatitive. And last season they decided to start giving Benson "anger" issues too, not just Stabler. And about your quesiton with the DAs, I did catch an old episode awhile ago and noticed Diane Neal played another role once, where she and 2 other women raped a man. It was kind of funny.
