  1. The only problems I've had with FSN HD is I get some weird sound pops sometimes on that channel. Nothing horrible, but noticeable. The only other HD problem I've had with Time Warner is on TNT HD, sometimes the audio isn't synced up properly with the video.
  2. I finally got past the 20,000 points one, that took me awhile. Got pretty lucky really. I don't hit enough HRs. Anyone have any idea what the password box is for? I thought it would tell you something after I finished it, but no.
  3. I wouldn't recommend holding your breath at this point. If you want to do something, maybe crossing your fingers, tossing a penny in a well, etc.
  4. It was good to see us in the hunt, but I'm glad Melvin wasn't willing to sell out the future. I trust he knew what he's sacrafice, and didn't exceed that. As for where we are now, I still think we have a really solid team, that collectively hasn't been playing to well for awhile. We don't much have the "best" of any one certain area, but we have a lot of great pieces. I have confidence in this team as it is, as long as they get their act together. Personally I think the biggest thing we lost by not scoring a big trade today is a moral boost. I think that could have been a really good shot in the arm for the team and fans alike.
  5. Way to go man! That's something I always think about trying someday. I imagine that moment right before the jump to be about the most intense feeling. Congrats to you for accomplishing it.
  6. Whatever happens, what does it say about the state of baseball in Milwaukee that we're in the hunt for someone like Gagne with the likes of the Yanks, Mets, and Red Soxs? Pretty crazy, and exciting. I'm certainly not one for selling out our future for this season, however, I do think a big move today could be a huge lift for the team and the fan base. That boost alone might be worth the rental.
  7. Right now we need all the breaks we can get. Of course, it gives my friends who are Mets fans an excuse if we take the series, but I'll have to deal with that. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  8. I was just at the gym and one of the TVs had a highlight on Glavine and when I got in the car, they were discussing it on the radio too. So there is some awareness today at least. And I don't really agree that players like Glavine and Biggio didn't get coverage because they aren't elite anymore. Glavine may not the ace anymore, but he's still a very good pitcher and a first ballot hall of famer. Sosa and Griffey certainly aren't elite anymore either, but they got a decent amount of coverage. Granted Jr is more iconic, but he's been getting coverage since he got within 20 homers.
  9. I've always really loved Glavine, and while I'd love to be able to witness him getting his 300th, I don't want to think about yet another loss for the Crew. Fortunately tomorrow night is our wedding anniversary, so the problem will pretty much solve itself for me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. The Braves did the right thing with Salty, they already have McCann. A good trade for the Braves.
  11. Loving the optimism here tonight! Let's turn this thing around.
  12. Also, do you have any mutal friends who might know what's up with her?
  13. In the end, you tend to regret the things you don't do. So I say to go for it, but like several other people have said, just know there's a line. If you were pretty good friends, odds are it won't be creepy to even just say you tracked her down to reconnect. I've reconnected with people from my past that I hadn't talked to in a long time and I'm glad I did. However those were once solid friendships, that are now at least still friendships. Easy options do include Facebook and MySpace.
  14. If anyone is around town, there's a little known event at Bradford Beach this weekend in Milwaukee, the Bradford Beach Jam. Its a lot of fun, sports, music, food, beer, people in bathing suits. All and all a good time. I'll be down there playing some bean toss. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif"> www.bradfordbeachjam.com Full disclosure: I do the website for this event, but I don't make any money from it, so I'm really only telling you about this because I think its a good thing for the city and for bringing people back to Bradford Beach. 15. Ahh, I'll just be there instead. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. Well said brewerphandog. I think this recent string has been pretty demoralizing, but I'm with you, I still expect us to be fighting for this thing, not sinking to the bottom.
  17. You know, last year I never felt like we were out of game, but this year, this might be the only inning we score if feels like.
  18. Man, its a sad state of affairs for Milwaukee baseball when that has to be explained. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  19. Happened across this today and thought it was a pretty clever idea. Don't know that I'll actually buy one, but all the same. I'm pretty surprised I haven't seen this already actually. www.cafepress.com/0755 http://images.cafepress.com/product/152556893v6_240x240_Front_Color-BlackWhite.jpg
  20. I think it really just comes down to a matter of preference these days. Long gone are the days of which is faster, especially when you're talking about things like typing a paper, using the internet, etc. Pretty much any computer on the market can handle those things in spades now. And if you're worried about using MS products on your Mac, you can also run Windows on your Mac now, so there's no loss there. I tell a lot of my friends who have looked at switching that I think the Mac OS beats Windows hands down. Mac OS X is just so much more intutive for the user, in my opinion and more stable too. And that includes Vista. I have a PC and a Mac for different reasons, but I use the Mac 95% of the time. I have had 2 friends switch to Mac this year and they've enjoyed the transistion a lot. Also, FYI, you can get a student discount on pretty much anything at the Apple store with your student ID.
  21. Wow, big news. RIP Dennis.
  22. Wow that Estrada news sure is pretty convienent.
