    I've been spinning the sideways story in my head a lot. Originally I was really reading into the "let go" part of the story line and was assuming it meant something about letting go of the alternate reality, but it occurs to me now, what if Desmond means to let go of their former timeline lives? I'm starting to believe the sideways timeline is the reality we end up in. I'm not sure, but Desmond has been very chipper since he found Penny in the sideways timeline, and he was eager to do what he had to in "our" timeline after seeing the alternate. It would make sense to me, based on his actions, that he's trying to protect the alternate timeline. The trouble with that is what became of the light and Smokey when the bomb went off then? It would stand to reason that the light is missing in the alternate timeline, and that doesn't seem desirable.

    You can disagree with the opinion, but I don't think it makes TH hit a new low by stating it. I think it's a realistic approach honestly. Didn't Gagne remove himself from the closers role? I don't remember people harping on Yost for not doing it instead, but maybe I'm wrong. All TH is saying is Macha is in a crap position, which there's not really any disagreement on, and it would help if Hoffman would man up about it. At this point the Brewers are hardly held hostage by Hoffman, he's not the only one failing out there.

    No, they didn't show Jack take down the room full of Russians, you didn't miss it. For a second I got excited about a return character last night when Chloe said there was one person they could use to find Jack, and I quickly tried to figure out who it could be, before quickly realizing Cole had disappeared into that cell. The end ride has been pretty crazy. I thought it was funny how Jack was basically like a horror movie character last night, not only in his look, but in how people where acting about him.

    Narveson was just as stretched out as Parra is, when we inserted Narveson into the rotation. I like the move a lot more than the other option of putting Suppan back in there. With the way the season has been so far, we can't do much worse, may as well see what Manny can give us.

    I drove by about an hour ago and it was closed. It seems to be closed for ESPN games in the past.

    I set all 3 of these threads up on Friday morning before I left town for the weekend. At the time, that is what ESPN told me the pitching matchups were going to be. Obviously that didn't work out right! I'll edit today's set up to reflect the changes.

    Based off the initial schedules released for 2008 and 2009, here are the results. (The initial schedule for 2007 didn't contain any Brewers games, but I'm positive they were added as the season progressed.     I recall a game 2 or 3 seasons ago on Fox Saturday that we thumped the Cubs up.

    Our average run differential is 5.53 to this point. That's making more demoralized than the losing record. I'm very tired of 9-2 type games every day.

    It was the same Monday night. Very easy to leave the park and the parking lot.

    Are there no in-between settings for the Brewers this year? We've had all of 2 games this month decided by less than 4 runs. It's frustrating to watch daily to either be totally out of a game, or totally in control.

    From being at the game, Braun seemed to take issue with the whole thing. I'm also not sure if the HBP was intentional, but throwing to first three times sure was. (Though you gotta love Braun's moxy for trying to steal after that.) I don't know what they showed of this on tv, but I did notice after we "plunked" McCann, Fielder seemed to be having some words with him at first, and the next time Braun came up, he had something to say to McCann as he walked to the batter's box.

    I was in attendance tonight, it was a boring crowd, and I said at the time it was the smallest crowd I'd seen in a quite time. I can't harp on Davis, he pitched well enough. Weeks doesn't make that error and it is very easily 6 IP, 2 ERs for Davis. I'll take that every day.
