  1. Wow Capuano has been really lucky today.
  2. Pitch count doesn't matter, Dusty will let Wood throw 140 pitches.
  3. Yeah--the Brewers break up Woods' perfect game!
  4. Six straight balls...this should be a fun game.
  5. Well Grieve just doesn't have the speed to be caught stealing like Clark has.
  6. Because Clark has proven that he is a 5th outfielder over many ABs. When you have two outfielders on teh bench that can outhit him, there is no reason to put him in on a day when you have Erickson as your starting 2B.
  7. Apparently Cubs never make errors.
  8. Come on Yost, make yourself hated in Chicago. Have the umps check Sammy's bat. Phil Garner would do it!
  9. For the second day in a row the Brewers second best hitter sits on the bench in order to get Clark in the lineup.
  10. Of course Brooks tends to be the most "clutch" beacuse he is hitting .324.
  11. No, that is correct. Counsell's injury may or may not keep him out tomorrow.
  12. The best part is that even though Wood has only made 8 starts, he is 4th in the league in stress points.
  13. Hey, Bill look at BP's PAP lately? You know Dusty mut be kicking himself that Wood hasn't been healthy enough to challenge Schmidt for the most stress points in the game. Schmidt now has a lead that even Dusty might not be able to top.
  14. Anyone know why Walker didn't play today? Or why Goodwin came off the Bench before Walker? EDIT:Aside from the fact, that well its a day game and he is white...
  15. I'm not sure why Hall wasn't moved to SS, Ginter to 3rd and Erickson to 2nd.
  16. With Clark now outhitting Podsednik, how about Clark starts in center and Grieve gets to actually play?
  17. Bennett has now fallen below the .180 mark.
  18. Santos is getting the good defense today...
  19. Hey Osik is enjoying his life as a #3 catcher.
  20. Where is this idea that the Brewer offense was going to be fine coming from? They weren't good last year and there was little reason for them to be expected to improve this year.
  21. What Bill? You don't have access to a large collection of tapes to chart Santos' release point and to follow the ball in day vs night? waht kind of fan are you? I mean I'm sure The Rick has hundreds of tapes of Boston pitchers!
  22. Someone should try to find something (meaning I'd like to know but no clue how to find out) about why Santos is better at night. It couold be randomn (especially since most pitchers do better at night) or it maybe something about how he pitches that makes picking up his ball really difficult at night.
  23. Though he tries to be too cute at times, LaRussa is a good in game manager. Torre doesn't do much during the regular season (because in general he doesn't need to), but in the postseason he is an excellent in game manager. And I don't understand the dig about the Cubs not scoring runs. They are 7th in the NL, which isn't great but hardly on par with the Brewers.
  24. So trade a cheap above average strating pitcher? What else can the Brewers trade? Vizcaino, Kolb, Burba.
