    What confuses me about Yost and his catchers is when he had Bennett go 14 and then 9 the next afternoon. You would think that he would take Bennett as soon as the starting pitcher is gone.

    I don't mind sending Hart down since Yost would be unlikely to give him enough playing time (see Hall, Bill). No reason to loose a year sitting on the bench letting skills decay. Howeve, Liefler or McGruder should be on the team. Clark is a nice reserve outfielder for defensive purposes, but he doesn't have the bat to get great amounts of playing time in the corners. Now that it appears that Ford isn't coming off the DL anytime soon, should he be moved to the 60 day DL to open up a spot on the 40 man? He probably won't be out quite that long, so it would cost the Brewers money to do so.

    It could be worse, Durrington got over 120 ABs for the Angels in 1999. He only looks to get about 80 for the Brewers. Yep, Durrington has made an apparence in 19 games already. Maybe its that career OBP of 237 that is irresitible.

    Well Clark did go 2 for 4 today. But as I have been saying, the team needs a RH 1B/OFer and has since the season started.

    Make LA burn their lefty at least before you put in Durrington. And Moeller can do more than sit in the bullpen. EDIT:Does Yost realize ths is his last chance? That LA has this pretty good closer making scoring in 9th really hard?

    Geez, why does Ginter get all that playing time? Clearly he should share the job with Durrington.

    I'm not hating on JP, but he seems to think the Pirates are dregs while in truth they are very similar to the Brewers.

    The Brewers and the Pirates are very similar teams. They have nearly the same run differential. The Pirates have decent pitching, while the Brewers have decent hitting. So there is no reason to believe the Brewers can just walk all over them (no matter what Jim Powell thinks). You have two teams playing about .500 baseball. Both teams are lucky in teh sense that both Houston and Chicago have been underperforming (and unlucky since to make that up the Reds have been seriously overperforming).

    Well Ginter's OBP went from 317 in July to 373 in August and 344 in Septmeber. Ginter's OPS went down because hit had a huge slugging month in July of 542 which no one seriously believes will last for any length of time.
