  1. 2-0 both the Monday and Wednesday game last week versus the Braves.
  2. If I added it up correctly, according to the 538 season game by game odds, in games where we had a 42% chance or less of winning we were 8-5 with 4 of those losses started by Houser. We beat Grienke x2, Verlander, Flaherty x2. Houser isn't starting so they are saying there is a chance.
  3. A buddy of mine mentioned that Arcia’s HR swing the other night looked like Baez. Does look similar in the few videos I watched. Would be nice if it translates to remotely similar production, or heck even the average of the two of them.
  4. A winning road trip with one to play yet. That is what makes playoff baseball teams.
  5. Wilson now has 1 fewer HR this week than his previous season high. Dale is magic.
  6. It's a life changing diagnosis. You never know what goes through his mind, but I'm guessing both Covey and his family feel that he is better off staying close to home while he learns to live with diabetes. Unfortunate as it is, this does lower Covey's stock. Hopefully he can work through this and pitch like a stud at San Diego.I was more responding to the fact that some here thought the Brewers would shy away from him due to the diagnosis. I can understand why he might want to be closer to home, although I don't know that being 2 hours away really makes a difference. Diabetes is something you have to deal with on a continual basis, you can't go home to deal with it. I guess being close to family and to see them on weekends and such for support can help I think it is unfortunate that in a circumstance like this, an arbitrary deadline causes someone to make a decision prematurely. Fortunately with current technology he can lead as close to a normal life as possible until they find a cure.
  7. I really can't figure out why the whole type 1 diabetes is relevant. There are other type 1 diabetics in pro sports including pitchers, quarterbacks and NBA players. I wouldn't think it would affect the Brewers wanting to sign him. Perhaps it changed his outlook on life a little as it can cause problems later in life, but I know a ton of type 1 diabetics in their 30s (including my wife) do to a ton of volunteer work for Juvenile diabetes Research foundation JDRF and you wouldn't even know it except for a pump on their hip. Heck I just watched a bunch of them ride 100 miles in a charity ride this weekend. It isn't like it hinders your athletic ability. I also don't get why he wouldn't want to go pro then and have some of the best Dr's and nutritionists available to him to help him with this new development.
  8. Watching "the doorman" jaw with big z. I think zambrano just invited him into the dugout to settle their beef.
  9. I just keep remembering 2 years ago leaving Boston on May 19th after a 5 game losing streak and being so demoralized that I thought the season was over at 20-24. Then somehow a little over a month an a half later the team was 49-40 and a guy named CC was taking the mound for the Crew for the first time and this all with Ned at the helm who most thought was more inept than Macha.
  10. Got my 20 pack on Thursday! Loge Diamond box this year. Can't wait for opening day.
  11. Smart move. The more time fans spend at the stadium the more revenue the team brings in. Plus more "entertainment" time per dollar I spent on my tickets for next year. Seriously though he did well in the pen and perhaps is comfortable here so can't hurt assuming the dollars aren't too high.
  12. I like it, more flexibility in the IF, keeps Kendall from leading off against lefties, and hopefully he continues getting on base 40 points above his career and last 3 year average.
  13. I got mine today and my buddy got his as well, we live in Appleton and Neenah. 20 game fan's choice packs.
  14. I'm looking to upgrade my 20 game pack to one of these two sections since they are the same price. Anyone have any insight into which area is better? I've been in the terrace for the last 2 years. I guess it is probably a difference of just inside 3B in the second level or just into the OF grass on the field level. Thanks for any advice.

  16. looks like the Mets aren't planning on losing up 6-0 in the 4th with Santana on the bump. So much for remaining half a game back.
  17. I am leaving for San Francisco on Saturday for a conference which goes late every night so I won't be able to watch any games until I show up at Miller Park to watch the last three games of the year. I think this might be good for my blood pressure and overall health. I am really considering trying to completely avoiding them and then showing up on Friday with my tickets and hearing either, "Our magic number is 2" or "I can't believe we let this season get away." Of course in reality I will probably be watching a game cast on my Iphone and having the whole conference thinking I am nuts when I am screaming and yelling in the back.
  18. that was the best inning we've seen from this team in awhile. Let's get to their pen now.
  19. So are all the people who are upset at Braun admiring his HR for 3 seconds also upset every time CC walks off the mound with a fist pump or yelling enthusiastically? Would it be better if Braun would have started running, gave a couple of fist pumps and shouted, "Whooo, hooooo......yessssss." Is Tiger Woods classless when he sinks a big put and does a fist pump half way across the green, or Favre runs down the field and fireman carries Driver off the field? Why is it only unacceptable for a hitter in baseball, but every other athlete including pitchers are get a pass? I just don't get the double standard. For what its worth, my first comment after the HR was, "Prince is taking one in the ribs right here." But you know what, I'll take the free base. Heck, I'm a fan of us striking more poses if it nets us more base runners.
  20. Unreal. You don't see 4 game road sweeps of teams who WERE ahead of you in the standings everyday, let alone following another 3 game sweep. This team is doing something special. The only negative is I guess that means I will be too excited to sleep again tonight.
  21. I live in Appleton, would I be able to pick this up from you if i won?
