  1. Nielsen TV markets are used to rank sports market sizes. In 2011, the Twin Cities were 15th. 2. Static stuff on web pages bugs me, especially when it covers up content.
  3. I've posted a second "What's Hot" topic at the top of this forum titled "Tapatalk users: please look at this topic too ." Could you take a moment to check to see if that one causes trouble too? The difference between the new topic and the others is that it only appears in a single forum (this one). Thanks for the potential workaround, AZBrewCrew. We'd like to get this fixed the right way, but it may be helpful to others in the meantime. recte44, I'm not sure what you're looking for. You should be prompted to install Tapatalk the first time you visit this forum with a mobile device. I'm not sure how you'd set up if you dismiss the prompt and decide to install Tapatalk later. Maybe someone could chime in with those instructions.
  4. Unlike the other Tapatalk topic in the "What's Hot" area at the top of forum pages, this one appears only in Issues. Could you please take a moment to view both Tapatalk topics in the "What's Hot" box and report any problems in this Issues topic? Thanks!
  5. We have a thread like this every year. Teams will put players on waivers even if they're not inclined to want to trade them. Flooding the waiver wire increases the possibility that players will get through without being claimed. Adding to everything that's been said, there's no public waiver list. As there's no way to confirm, any report that a player has been placed on waivers can easily be true or false. Also, these waivers are revocable. It's no big deal to place as many players as possible on waivers during any given waiver period. This is a big waiver month every year because: A new waiver period started at the beginning of the month Of the deadline for freezing rosters for the post-season
  6. My first thought was the Cardinals, too, but I would have thought of the Orioles right away back when the Brewers were in the American League.
  7. I've placed a test topic in the "What's Hot" area. Could Tapatalk users try accessing it and let us know whether they experience the same problem with that topic? It could be that the issue is specific to Global Announcements (What's Hot). Thanks!
  8. Tapatalk users are reporting that they're needing to log in a second time to read in-game threads. In the topic linked to above, could you let us know if you're running into the same issue with this thread? Thanks!
  9. Bob Dylan's first recording appearance was in 1962, when he played harmonica in Harry Belefonte's version of [cite]Midnight Special.[/cite]
  10. Repeating the same arguments ad nauseam is fruitless, boring and tedious. I concur with that assessment. It seems that we're hearing the same arguments over and over with the only difference being that people are getting "louder." Can we get a split on this thread into a new thread? I will start it ... I'm going to lock this one. If we were to split and merge into the new topic, I think that would end up making a mess out of that thread.
  11. Eduardo Rodríguez, who pitched for the Brewers from 1973–78 and for the Royals in 1979, is one of three players to retire with a slugging percentage of 3.000. He tripled in his only major league at bat, in 1973. 1973 was the first year of the DH. The Brewers were up 10–1 in the eighth inning and inserted DH Bobby Mitchell into LF. In a 1978 game where the Brewers gave up the DH, position players (Bando, Gantner, Buck Martinez) pitched from the 4th inning on. Martinez picked up a hit as a pitcher.
  12. I've moved this topic over to LambeauLeap as there's a whole forum for Fantasy Football over there. Here's the new location: Fantasy Football Auction Strategy RobDeer 45, I see that you have an account over there but that you havent' logged in since the migration. I'll e-mail you a password. Menotti80, I see that you've logged into LambeauLeap since the migration. You're set if you remember your password. If you don't remember it, you can use the "I forgot my password" link on the login page, and a password will be e-mailed to you immediately. Or, if you'd rather, you can contact me and I can reset your password for you. young guns has been on the site this week, so I don't think he'll have any problem.
  13. Really happy about this. I think the move is appropriate, but I can't be happy about something I see as sad.
  14. I honestly don't know if range factor is that big of a deal for the infield. You need to be careful with the verbiage here. Range is a good thing, however, "range factor" is a lousy stat.
  15. I wouldn't be too wound if Ransom was the backup infielder next year, but I'd hope they'd go toward youth if a starter had to be replaced for a period of time. However, I'd be wound if Cody ate up a 40-man roster spot over the winter that could have been put to better use.
  16. …when you strike out 46% of the time, you aren't even giving yourself a CHANCE for anything good to happen. Yuni Betancourt put everything he could reach into play. that didn't give him much of a chance for good things to happen either.
  17. Brian and Bill said that the rain came out of nowhere. The TV broadcast showed a radar image that was devoid of clouds.
  18. I think the guy who was carrying the camera alongside the sausages won the race.
  19. Do I need an Apple PC to use Apple TV? You'll need use iTunes to access your files, which means you'd need either a Mac or Windows PC.
  20. This is correct, though it is plate appearances, not at-bats. The tack-ons would be ABs. That makes sense. Batting average is based on ABs. The ABs would be added, and the batting average would be re-computed,. If the re-computed BA was higher than that of the runner-up, the player would win the title.
  21. area pigeons being fed a special diet in preparation for the event ^^ Someone needs to get this line to Uecker so he can use it.
  22. At McDonald's, I ask for a little bit of ice if I want to drink it right away.
  23. I think the cost of parking at Miller Park is very reasonable. As a comparison, we paid $20 plus a $5 tip to park in St. Louis (which we still thought was reasonable given the downtown location).
  24. It's always tough to decide when to start a new Bucks topic, but there was a natural gap in the previous thread that made the selection of a splitting point pretty easy. Here's the old discussion, now locked: Milwaukee Bucks 2011/2012 Feel free to use this thread to continue any discussion that's been started in the old topic.
