  1. I still haven't tried adding a foe, but this comes from the FAQ: The link to manage friends and foes is in the User Control Panel sidebar. Here's the foe management page (accessible as long as you're logged in).
  2. I haven't tried this, but I believe you block a person by making him a "foe." The "Add foe" tool is in the profile of the member you'd like to block. The profile is accessed by clicking on his username wherever it appears on the board. I believe that someone mentioned blocking recently, so it's possible that someone can chime with specifics on how to do this. I'll experiment with the feature when I have a little more time.
  3. I bet that Mrs. H5 cleans the bathroom. The tote routine is fair if she does the same thing. I was thinking more in terms of using medicine cabinets, drawers, or whatever. I have the task of cleaning my dad's bathroom, and it's the "and such" stuff that's a pain. Recently, it took me at least two hours to clear the bathroom counter of everything under the sun, then wash, damp wipe, or dust the stuff as appropriate. That's a major hassle in order to get clean sinks and a counter. If the counter were clear or close to clear, the area could be cleaned in 10 minutes. The worst part is that because it's his house, his bathroom, and his stuff, I don't know what to do with it.
  4. My rain fade issues have improved considerably since I had new equipment installed a couple of years ago. I would guess that all new installations would get the most recent equipment.
  5. I'd be more concerned about deer and rabbits.
  6. People who leave all their toiletries and such on the bathroom counter fall into two categories: 1. The meticulously clean, who are willing to move this stuff away and wipe everything down every few days. 2. Slobs. I'd say that 90%-plus fall into the latter category.
  7. I've actually seen the magic a handful of times, but this is the first time that I've seen the new magic since the building was remodeled.
  8. Naming characters after writers, crew members, etc. is pretty common practice. You'll have to make sure you're credited for playing Clay Tweel in the Internet Movie Database. If you're not listed in the film's actual credits, you'd simply mark the entry as "uncredited." If the scene ends up being cut, I believe there's still a way to enter the fact that you "appeared."
  9. The general rule that I've found is that when landscapers plant grass, it doesn't grow. When I plant it, it does. You're probably going to have to dig out the weeds and properly replant the part that isn't growing.
  10. I believe that we have two or three members who do these, but I'm also drawing a blank right now.
  11. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? No! It wasn't over when the allies defeated the Germans at Iwo Jima either.
  12. Braun may have been the player who was the most visible as far as publicly commenting on the issue, but it's not like his opinion wouldn't have been shared by others. Along with that, the Brewers wouldn't have made this adjustment without the input of players, umpires, and the commissioner's office. Heck, they may have even talked to other teams. Actually, I'd say it was likely that they talked to other teams, especially when they first started doing this.
  13. This is a product description. A toilet paper holder makes shopping more enjoyable and convenient? http://www.dinodirect.com/toilet-tissue-holders-shelf-copper.html
  14. Locked in favor of the Ransom transaction topic: Brewers claim Cody Ransom, option Maysonet
  15. Actually, I'd be annoyed sitting behind Banana Man with that stem protruding from his head. The guys are probably on the seat backs to be able to see over him.
  16. It sounds like you didn't install any Firefox extensions. But just to be sure, you could try going to "Add-ons" in the Tools menu, clicking on Extensions on the sidebar, see if there's anything there, and see what happens if you disable anything that's in there. Also, you could try tossing your cookies. Go to "Clear Recent History…" in the Tools menu, make sure Cookies is checked, and hit the Clear Now button. You don't have to choose to clear anything other than Cookies unless you want to. I'm wondering if Firefox is balking at the apostrophe in your username. I could remove it for you, but because that would change the way you log in, I'd want to be communicating with you via e-mail (not PMs) during that process. You don't have to post your e-mail address; I can get that from the board's administrative controls. If removing the apostrophe doesn't help, we can always put it back.
  17. Stubby Clapp
  18. It's a DFA, so here is fine.
  19. Total Bases + Walks + Steals Shouldn't caught stealings be subtracted? Maybe even caught stealings times two?
  20. Somebody must be using auto-correct. http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2175519/apple-updates-108-mountain-lion-developer-preview
  21. I know at Chase Field they have a sign by the scoreboard that has a number to text for security to report issues, does Miller Park have anything like that? I dont recall ever seeing anything. Yes. There's a sign somewhere, and I believe it's announced before games begin.
  22. I'm not finding a link for this. Was Conrad designated for assignment, outrighted, or simply released?

Pickup artist [cite]The A Game[/cite] I'm moving this to Off Topic (Private), however, even with its private forum placement, please make sure that this topic stays Brewerfan-appropriate.
  24. I'll start by stabbing in the dark at the obvious. Have you changed any of your privacy settings? Do you have any blockers installed? Are you able to log into other sites? You need to accept cookies from sites, but it's not necessary to accept third party cookies.
  25. And it's an entertainment network. News media really took a tumble around the time of the O.J. Simpson trial. At that time, the traditional and tabloid media started to converge, and it's been tough to tell the difference since then. News outlets don't bother with facts; it's much more important to entertain with what's sensational. When Walter Cronkite died, it was mentioned that he had his interns make phone calls to ensure that he pronounced names right. The anchor who heard this actually laughed.
