The 2nd goal would be to have your 5th best hitter behind Braun/Fileder. Is that too simplistic? Well, I'd stick the 5th best hitter between Fielder and Braun, but since that isn't going to happen, 5th would be the logical spot.

Can we please start a Ron Roenicke rant thread? Let's not and say we did. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Vents/rants are against the terms set in Fan Forum Etiquette. Since Ned Yost left, we've been able to avoid asking members to funnel managerial discussion into a designated thread. It may come to the point where the mods decide that a designated Roenicke topic is necessary, but I don't think we've reached that yet. -

So is everybody, including Ryan Braun, Corey Hart, and as I mentioned, Brady Clark. Heck, you could likely even find some plays by Carlos Lee that would be worthy of inclusion in a highlight reel. I think everyone realizes that an individual play is the ultimate small sample, though.

I think the bottom line is that you can project fairly safely that Kotsay won't continue to draw intentional walks at the rate he has thus far. On the other hand, you know that Fielder will continue to draw IBBs. -
Windows 8 is currently sporting a Black Screen of Death instead of a Blue one. There's no word on whether this change is permanent.

endaround's thought echoes my first inclination. Along with that, it may make sense to download the update from Microsoft's website and install it separate from the update mechanism.

I agree with the concerns about the boneheaded stuff, e.g. baserunning gaffes, throwing to the wrong destination, etc. I think those mistakes — especially the over-enthusiasm on the bases — can likely be minimized with time and work. Inaccurate throwing may be something that persists, but I think that's offset by his other defensive skills. My biggest concern is OBP. If Carlos were the only player who reasonably projected to a sub-.300 OBP, I wouldn't have a problem with him playing full time. We have two, however. Something has to give in order to mitigate that.

As I was reading the directions that came inside a package of contact lens solution, I couldn't help but wonder why the print was so tiny. After all, everyone who buys the product has vision issues.

It wouldn't have been visible to you until you posted your first message. You'll have access to post in that forum after a month of membership. That'll give you time to get a feel for how things work there. In the meantime, all members should feel free to use this topic to discuss trading and collecting in general. Actual buying selling, and trading would need to be restricted to the Trading Post, though.

My thought on May 5, 2011, assuming Gamel is 1B and I don't know our SS next season, I'd put the lineup at… Per the Major League Forum FAQ, please keep "full lineup" posts in the designated lineup topic. It's generally stickied in the Major League forum, and it's always available in the Designated Threads List. We've learned from experience that when full lineups are posted elsewhere, topics get sidetracked. For example, this is a topic about defense. It would certainly seem fair to attempt to discuss how defense might have factored into Yo's meltdown inning. This response was helpful and fair: However, the message continued with this unnecessary scolding, which led to 10 posts being hidden in an attempt to bring this topic on track: A message above states, "Good morning class, welcome to 'Problems with Gallardo 101'." I'm sure that was meant to lead to humorous responses or no responses at all rather than to be taken seriously. As crewcrazy stated, let's keep this discussion about Yo. Previous discussion involving Yuni and the defense has more than run its course.
