  1. Images should be back. If you're still not seeing images, you should do a hard refresh or clear your cache. A hard refresh made images reappear for me. I hate it when Yuku tells us to do this as they give this advice constantly. Staff expects that these tasks are routine for everyone, and they're not. While these procedures don't really require technical knowledge, there's still enough involved to confuse those who find computers to be a challenge. Other sites don't constantly ask their users to do this. EDIT: I just had to hard refresh this page to make Toby's avatar appear. That's after having to hard refresh on another page. If you're having issues, I'd suggest clearing your cache and being done with it. EDIT 2: I'm still doing hard refreshes after clearing my cache. Oh, well.
  2. One of the images servers is down. Yuku announced about an hour and a half ago that they were looking into the problem. There really should have been some kind of response from staff much earlier. But, if I recall correctly, the last time this happened, a fix wasn't that long in coming once the gurus started working on the problem.

  4. According to Cot's, Zambrano is signed through 2012 and has a 2013 vesting option. Fukudome is signed through 2011 and would be under team control for another two years beyond that.
  5. Here's a quickie IGT. 6. Instead of the left lane slowing down to allow those people in the ending lane to merge, now people in the right lane have to slow down to let the people merge from the entrance ramp and the people in the center lane have to slow down to let the people in the right lane merge into the center lane to avoid the mess in the right lane. The problem is that the left lane, which existed for miles, abruptly ended. Everybody in that lane was forced to merge.
  7. With the season nearing an end and given the fact that this topic hasn't been posted to for a month, I'm going to unstick it. However, it'll remain the designated lineup thread for the remainder of the season. If you want to post here and it's dropped down in the topic list, you can find it in the Designated Threads List. Once the season ends, we'll move to a 2011 Batting Order Topic. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Well, catchers in general are on their knees an awful lot.
  9. Highway 41 isn't part of the Zoo Interchange. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. Googling is the best advice that can be offered on this board. As I mentioned in reply #2, we can't allow discussion about receiving games outside of normal avenues.
  11. Anyone want to play? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. That 9/28/08 game should almost be considered one "moment". Definitely. Feel free to flip-flop numbers 3 and 9 below. Had they been combined, I might have been inclined to put the "moment" at #2. Still, I dunno. When clinching a Wild Card qualifies as #2 over a 40-year history, something tells me that we don't have enough cool "moments." Cecil Cooper’s winning hit in Game 5 of 1982 ALCS (October 10, 1982)Robin Yount’s 3,000th career hit (September 9, 1992)Ryan Braun’s two-run home run in 2008 Wild-Card clinching victory (September 28, 2008)Robin Yount becomes first player wearing a Brewers cap to be inducted into Hall of Fame (July 25, 1999)Dale Sveum’s Team Streak Easter Sunday walk-off home run (April 19, 1987)Juan Nieves’ no-hitter at Baltimore (April 15, 1987)Closing of County Stadium (September 28, 2000)First game in Milwaukee Brewers history (April 7, 1970)CC Sabathia’s complete-game performance in 2008 Wild Card-clinching victory (September 28, 2008)Brewers set American League Record with 31 hits in 22-2 win over Toronto (August 28, 1992)Robin Yount’s Major League debut (April 5, 1974)Hank Aaron’s 755th home run (July 20, 1976)I put Hank Aaron's 755th last because nobody knew at the time that it would be his final homer. The same thing could have been said had he hit the homer in late September, but geez, this was in the middle of July. Better Aaron choices might have been his joining the team in 1975 (which was a "moment") or the trade to acquire him in 1974 (which wasn't). While the Sveum and Nieves moments are much more distinct than the Sabathia and Braun moments, imagine this being part of the list: "Brewers set American League Record and tie Major League record by opening the 1987 season with 13 straight wins." Because they kind of go hand in hand, I think I may have ranked them a bit high. Of course, as with any kind of ranking, the ones in the middle are the toughest. They could easily be switched around.
  13. Some of this will depend on your computer. For starters, your video card should handle 1920x1080 (1080p/1080i). If you have an HDMI connection your computer, you'll be bringing the best quality picture to your TV. If your computer has DVI, that's just as good as HDMI picture-wise, but you'll need to run sound separately. That's no big deal. Your TV probably doesn't have DVI, however. You'd need to get an adapter and run the picture over an HDMI cable. Your Internet connection might be a factor, too. I can stream 720p, but 1080p drags. I find that it's better to download 1080p for later viewing. Hulu looks nice on my set, but for the most part, even the 16:9 broadcasts are only 480i. I don't recall if they have high definition on some broadcasts or not. The major broadcast networks offer high definition streams. You might find useful information in this topic: Calling all geeks: Now Including Tech-o-Wienies! I should also note that Brewerfan can't allow discussion pertaining to circumvention of "the system" to receive games. Mentioning that you're "exploring options" is probably doesn't hurt anything, but providing the actual information on how you've achieved success could cause problems for us.
  14. He said something to the effect that Gamel didn't say he wasn't excited about playing first but you could tell he felt that way by the way he talked. While it wouldn't be appropriate to include an observation like that in an article, it'd certainly be appropriate to include it in a blog post. Because he didn't, it's certainly appropriate to question his conclusions.
  15. I believe that people who sell insurance are supposed to look like Robert Young. http://www.museum.tv/archives/etv/F/htmlF/fatherknows/fatherknowsIMAGE/fatherknows.jpg
  16. Dead Kennedys is either among the worst or among the best. I can't decide.
  17. And I just heard through the grapevine that the WYSIWYG editor still has issues in the Android browser. The last time I checked an iPad, it was loading the Plain Text editor. I bet that's still the case.
  18. Locked in favor of this topic: Post editor now "fully functional" in Safari and Chrome
  19. As of a couple of hours ago, Yuku staff announced that the WYSIWYG post editor is now "fully functional" in Safari and Chrome. I would assume that this would include other WebKit-based browsers, such as SRWare Iron and Flock 3. I'm posting this in Chrome, and so far, so good. It'll be interesting to see if the post editor works in Safari for iPhone/iPad and the Android browser. If anyone using those browsers could give posting a whirl and report back, it'd be appreciated. Feel free to use this topic for test posts. Some Safari/Chrome users may have switched their account preferences to use Yuku's BBCode editor. To switch to WYSIWYG, follow these steps. In unconverted profiles: Hit the Account link in the old navigation bar or the wrench icon in the new navigation bar.Hit the Preferences link in the Settings box at the lower left.Choose BBCode as your Editor Type and hit the Submit button. In converted profiles (mainly members who've joined since late May): Hit the Account link in the old navigation bar or the wrench icon in the new navigation bar.Hit the Forum link in the submenu near the top of the page.Choose BBCode as your Editor Type and hit the Save button.
  20. Since I posted this, the commercial bugs me even more. If this qualified as a slogan, I wouldn't be bugged. It's not creative enough to be a slogan, though.
  21. A bit of trivia: Stevie Ray Vaughan was the first artist to perform the national anthem before a Major League baseball game on the guitar. I believe it was at an Astros home opener.
  22. Correct me if I'm wrong, but starting next year he would have to accept a demotion to AAA, and clear waivers(provided we offer arbitration and bring him back on anything other than a minor league deal). As Logan's message directly above indicates, a player has to have five years of service to refuse an optional assignment. After three years of service, I believe he has to clear revocable waivers to be optioned.
  23. We're now being told that there was no promise to remove the ********* "feature." I wouldn't have made the statement above without that assurance. Several feedback topics at Yuku Support were hidden/removed due to member behavior. My guess is that the message I based my statement on was in one of them. Thinking logically, the hubbub about ********** over at Support wouldn't have died down without some kind of assurance that they'd be removed.
  24. According to the commercial, when you brush with Colgate Total, you end up with "a lot less germs." We should be finding that our mouths have "a lot fewer germs."
  25. Braun's restaurant is fine dining rather than a casual sports atmosphere. She'd probably prefer eating somewhere else.
