    That averages to about 63.5% from 1900-1977. I'm wondering how the threshold of success might differ by era. For instance, would the the necessary success threshold in the 1960s, where offensive production was very low, be lower than the necessary success threshold over the past two decades?

    Firefox's spell checker took a nosedive with the release of 3.0. 3.5 and 3.6 haven't improved it. I thought the spell checker in Firefox 2.0 was much more trustworthy. Still, I concur that Witrado wrote a particularly awkward sentence. It might be something you'd let slide on in a blog setting if it were written by someone whose grammar and usage weren't characteristically lacking. In Anthony's case, it just fuels the fire. Either of these would be an improvement.

    Thanks for all the help everyone. The amount of users not updating promptly has been logged as a bug. Hopefully, there's some action reasonably soon. If there are any further issues, please don't hesitate to let us know.

    i'm not mistaken, it won't count against his service time if he's called up then We examined that issue exhaustively a couple of years ago and concluded that September service time did count. Among other things, there's nothing in the CBA saying it doesn't. The way to double-check this would be to take a site that records service time (e.g. Cots) and compare recorded days to transaction dates. I think the idea of September not counting as service time comes from the fact that September days don't count against rookie status. (September at bats and innings pitched do, though.)

    From what I can tell, the default browser in the Blackberry is simply referred to as the Blackberry browser. There isn't even uppercase. It doesn't look that a version of Firefox Mobile for Blackberry is in the cards. Firefox Mobile Supported Platforms

    Thanks for all the help. We've now noticed that the chat doesn't want acknowledge that people enter the room. Kevbo74 and I were in there and the main board page said that there were 0 users chatting. WisconsinSportsRule popped in and out and it upped itself to 1 user chatting, even though three of us were in the room. I popped in and out and it stuck at one. This didn't seem to be an issue earlier. If people could check to see if their presence is being acknowledged, that'd be helpful, too.

    As a favor, could anyone who feels inclined try to access the chat room and report success or failure in this topic? If you're able to do this more than once throughout the day, so much the better. And if you want to check the room over at LambeauLeap, that'd be a nice touch. It appears that Yuku has done something that will hopefully address chat problems across the system, and they're looking for feedback.     In case anyone's wondering about the rule in the MLB Forum FAQ about posting full lineups outside of the designated lineup thread, we're dealing with a bit of a different animal here, i.e. a future lineup rather than the current one. A topic dedicated to the 2011-2012 lineup might be a good idea if someone wants to start one. It might become an excellent idea if similar discussion starts to occur in multiple topics.     I can't personally recommend anything, but I can suggest exploring Opera Mini, Opera Mobile, or Bolt as possible alternatives. Specifically regarding Opera, Diskono points out some issues with its desktop version and Yuku. I experience the same problems. I don't know of they transfer over to the Mobile and Mini versions or not. I can say that I'm certain that the issues are with Yuku rather than Opera. At risk of getting technical, I wish Yuku would let us use "@media" in our skin. That would allow us to help those using mobile devices. There's no security reason why they shouldn't allow that. In the process of blocking "@import," which can cause issues, they blocked our ability to use everything starting with "@."

    The scrollbars could be appearing because content is too wide for your screen. What's your horizontal resolution? I think that about 600 horizontal pixels are necessary to display a "normal" board page without scrollbars the way things are currently set up. I'm not sure what to tell you about color. Obviously, it's odd that black on white would be washed out. Is there some kind of adjustment in the phone itself? I bought a monitor a couple of years ago that had several brightness/contrast/color settings, and couple of them made this board look pretty odd. I'm trying to figure out which web browser you might be using, but I'm not having any luck. Do you know what it is? Also, do you know if you have the option of downloading a different browser and trying that?

    I haven't been able to get in since early this morning. There doesn't seem to be any pattern across the other reports I've seen (old Flash, different browser, OS, or whatever). I think this is totally on Yuku. I tried creating a new room, but that was a no go. New rooms have also been unsuccessful on other boards.

    This is definitely hit and miss. For me, it's mostly miss. I was able to get in late last night, but that access was gone the next time I tried. Likewise, I had access early this morning, but I don't now. If anyone else is experiencing issues, reports would be helpful, just in case they might be of use to Yuku staff. Right now, nobody has any clue what's going on. This issue was brought up at Support two days ago, but there hasn't been any response from staff.

    I'm going to have a good laugh when you guys see how bad the packages that are offered are this offseason. That statement falls into the condescension category and simply isn't appropriate.

    This issue started to be reported at Support this week. I'll mention that we have at least one member reporting difficulties and watch for any information from staff.

    This bug has been around since August 2008 and has been reported. You're not doing anything wrong.

    I had a nice response to that all typed up, and then i lost it somehow. Using the preview function is good insurance against completely losing your message. You should be able to get to your last previewed "draft" via the back button or your browser history. I'll hit the preview button frequently when composing a message that's of any significant length.
