According to Sophia, it's a herniated disk. He'll be seeing a back specialist the first week of October, and recovery is expected to take about a month.

It doesn't sound like Davis' ankle is all that serious, but you never know how it might feel the next day. Herrera's x-rays were negative, but he has a deep thigh contusion that Counsell terms "significant." I wasn't really clear on Peterson's condition, but Craig seemed to indicate that his injury (knee, I think) was on the same level as Herrera's. I'd assume that there'll be some callups, but I'd guess not as soon as tomorrow. Braun is still questionable. Craig says they'll sort things out in the morning.

I hadn't heard that there might be complications. I hope everything goes well. Yeah, he would have been gone for a while either way. And the fact that the birth is in California would make for a longer paternity leave than if the birth were in Milwaukee.

Doug Melvin steps down as GM; moves into advisory role
1992casey replied to torts's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Race seems to be a little bit relevant. I wouldn't have picked up on it from Stewart's tweet, but it seems reasonable that others might. Right now, I don't see anything that's outside the boundaries of Fan Forum Etiquette, but if anyone feels that there's anything else to say on the matter, please keep those boundaries in mind. -
