  1. I just can't believe were defying all recent history by looking great out of the break (and on the road of all places).
  2. F. Cordero just blew his second save on this Reds' homestand and six so far for the year. With the way the Reds' fans are complaining it sounds like his WHIP must not be that great even in the games he has saved. While I have nothing against Cordero, this is just another example of why relievers are so questionable from year to year, and why the Brewers probably got lucky when the Reds stepped in and took him from us.
  3. GB12, I'd like to agree with you, but you're dreaming... you can't just look at next year alone. Sure, a lot of money is coming off the books next year, but adding in extensions and arby to some of the other young guys the next couple of years... you're going to see the pay roll increase quite a bit. I don't mean to shoot you down. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I just don't see it happening. Granted, CC has quite the history of being a workhorse, but I still don't see them throwing Santana money at him. Like I said, I would love it if I'm wrong.
  4. Well, couldn't pass it up.... leaving right now last minute for SRO!!!
  5. Sooo, did they just rip off BP's constantly updated playoff odds?

  7. 1250 is a joke. Gary and Cliff are the most boring and inane talk show "hosts" there are. Anyways, I think a lot of Cleveland fans are due for a big let down no matter what happens. Half of them are expecting at least La Porta and Gamel along with one of our second tier prospects.
  8. I'm starting to understand more and more why Mota was booed out of New York (not that I'd be booing him yet), but he needs to pick it up.
  9. Hopefully Bush has settled down now, because he was getting rockedddd early.
  10. "you gotta callllllll Tyroneeee... CALL HIM! So you can get your roll on... ROLL ON, ROLL ON!" Everytime I see that commercial I crack up... I mean what demographic could they possibly be targeting (cough cough trying to take advantage of) there???? Also, I find it funny that when they introduced the Mexican sausage a few years back... they thought it'd be a great idea to name him "CINCO." I mean, come on... FIVE? That makes me laugh too. I mean, you couldn't pick some generic ethnic/latino name or some pun for chorizo like they did for the other four sausages. Since it was obviously a gimmick to try to increase the latino fanbase I'm surprised the marketing department would just relegate the name to a number. It's like a that-is-so-obvious case of subliminal messaging: all you are is another number tacked on to our attendance which is another number tacked on to our revenue. ... just two spots I find comical that have been in the back of my head for a while.
  11. Congratulations Mr. Bush. Shouse got lucky there, but nothing wrong with that.
  12. Yeah, I think it's screwing him up mentally. While I'm not taking either side(meat or no meat) because I don't know for sure, those who argue that he's getting the same protein benefits from whatever his nutritionist is giving him as if he ate meat, it may not be true. Science is always finding new information out that people never expected. For instance, this article about milk protein being more beneficial than soy protein... http://www.news-medical.net/?id=23404 ... all I'm saying is that it's just as possible that he lost strength as it is that he stayed the same or gained strength.
  13. -jjfanec The chip on his shoulder card hasn't been working to well for him this year. Granted, I love Prince's on field effort, winning attitude, and perseverance, but he has definately been playing below most fans expectations so far (I acknowledge performances such as last years can inflate expectations)
  14. Oh well... crappy chemistry computer lab... I'll wait for you guys to summarize.
  15. Did the presser start already? I'm trying to watch online at school, but it's not working for me if it started
  16. Maybe BA will learn how to pronounce ANDREW (not Ondrew) Jones. By the way, I like BA, but it has been annoying me all game.
  17. I was wondering if anyone knew someplace(online) that tells you what weight and conditioning regimen Brewers players use. Does the organization keep this kind of thing "secret" or am I just having trouble finding it (or am I the only one that cares at all)?
  18. Brewers... Brewers... Turning up the heat!

  20. To be clear, I feel that Hall has been one of the best team guys we've had the past few years. He never complained when he was utility man/super sub and he never complained when he had to change starting positions. BUT, I really feel his plate approach has been selfish lately. As someone said above, he gets a spurt of homeruns and then he wants to be Mr. Hero. I don't want him moved or platooned, and as great as "clutch Craig" has been so far this year, I definately don't want him getting more starts over Hall. Hall can swing as hard as he wants at the first two strikes, but I want to see him shorten his swing at least a little bit after two strikes. Also, I can complain when I want about a player.
  21. I was saying the same thing at my softball game tonight and I was going to post pretty much the same thread when I got home. Does Hall ever shorten his swing?!? EVER??? He'll get down in the count 0-2 or 1-2 and he'll still be swinging his lumbering homerun swing (of course, I'm not sure if he has any other swing). I really think Hall is being anti-team at the plate. He wants to get back to 35 homeruns even if it means he's competing with Johnny Estrada for OBP.
  22. Ugh, I'm going to class. Hopefully something good happens by the time I get back in an hour.
  23. Rickie looks like a second baseman!
